Was watching at the start of the game. Saw close-ups on both LeVert and Holiday before the tip. The looks on their faces was somewhere between uncertainty and dread of what was to come. Sort of an "Oh hell, we gotta do this again?" look. No signs of confidence in the body language either.

I read there are a good number of NBA scouts at the game. Wonder if the Pacers will do any "showcasing" of players? Of course, with so many guys out, they may not have a choice.

Weird. Bally Sports on the local cable cuts away from the game, with only seconds left, to show "Carolina Insider", a U of North Carolina pregame show. Where is Rodney Dangerfield to talk about no respect?
Anyway. Most of the season Bitadze couldn't even get a sniff of playing time. Turner got most of it but was always pulled in the 4th quarter. Today, with Turner out, Bitadze is playing basically the whole 4th quarter. Something about that doesn't make sense.

What is going on with the Pacers, I honestly had them as at least a top 6-7 team in the East, 4 solid starters in Sabonis/Turner/Brogdon/Levert. They can't seem to beat even bad teams these days.

Honestly, with no insult intended, you must not follow this team closely at all. It is a wreck. There is a real lack of talent, and roster construction is bad.

I don't. I'm not a Pacers fan, just an outside observer. Does it make sense to trade call those guys and rebuild? Are any of them keepers?

It was weird. I only watched the very end but why close with Goga and Sabonis but not Turner and Sabonis?Tom White wrote:Weird. You will get a wide range of opinions on that. Some will say we only need to change a couple players. I would say there are only maybe 4-5 players I'd want to keep, with most of those "keepers" not being starters. Others will be somewhere in between.

It was rewarding Goga and Sabonis for being in for a run where they brought the team back from 19 down.
We also had the issue of some major brain freeze moments late from Torrey Craig on the defensive end.

I'm ok with this outcome
Helps the tank, while still keeping the score respectable, not to mention getting good games from Duarte and Goga(!)

Players I want gone by next season’s start
Turner
Brogdon
Lamb
No teams will want or see enough value in the end of our bench due to youthful inexperience so take ‘‘em or leave ‘em.
Washington
Sykes
Taylor
Players injured with reduced value so it’s silly to trade them unless value is given
Warren
McConnell
I’m ok with these players if kept or not
Holiday
Craig
Goga
LeVert
Stephenson
My only definite keepers to start the rebuild with are
Sabonis
Duarte
Jackson
Brissett
Warren (if we see productivity plus healthy this year) I would go for a reduced salary due to injury if possible
Holiday (good veteran role)

I generally agree although I'd keep Brogdon and move LeVert. I think I'd be okay if we kept both Turner and Sabonis unless we receive an offer we can't refuse but I expect Turner to be moved. Lamb expires and should not be resigned at any price.

My to trade list:
Brogdon
.
.
.
LeVert
.
TJM
Turner
Craig
TJM is too expensive, and Craig is taking minutes away from Brissett

and Jackson. I'm okay with Craig getting minutes as a defensive 3, but I agree he shouldn't be playing the 4.
I suppose I could change my mind if Warren returned and we went on a winning streak, but I don't see that happening so I'd prioritize development over wins now. besides what we're doing now isn't producing wins.
