Great shooter, great defender. He ain't a playmaker and there is nothing wrong with that. Does he evolve into a playmaker at some point?

He's not a max player. you need to be dynamic as a max guy in this league and fred is very one-dimensional. 25 mil per year sure, but he's going to command way more than that moving forward and that makes him a trap IMO. You can't have the team rely on one guy a night, and expect them to find a solution the next when that guy is rendered into a role player.

I'm not convinced he can become a much better playmaker either. You need to be able to take advantage of mismatches in this league to generate opportunities for others.

They don’t, they hitch their wagon to said fool’s gold player and limit their potential. Masai is smart though so I’m sure he’ll figure out a solution.
