The beginning of the end of Turner being a good trading chip this year.

Pacers and Colts both keep having foot injuries.

According to Scott Agness, Turner’s injury is why Goga didn’t play with the Mad Ants last night, even though he was in Ft Wayne.

Like I said earlier in this thread:

"The beginning of the end of Turner being a good trading chip this year."

If he is still tradable, his value is taking a hit. Other teams won't be as likely to take on an injured player like the Pacers make a habit of doing.

Alex Golden did the math. If he misses the average recovery time, he’d return after the All Star Break.

Myles could control this situation. Does he want to be traded or not? His recovery time could tell the tale.

I'm pretty sure I saw the play when he got hurt, someone throw him the ball way out at the 3pt line on a break and he went down really awkward. I thought at the time that he might be hurt.

At this point if they want to deal one of the big guys it might be Sabonis, the season is a total loss might as well go down hard. I don't want to trade Sabonis, but if you can get a max return for him 2-3 #1's a young player and salary filler maybe a bit of savings. Then we commit to Turner and extend him in the off season. The little bit of the gave against the Clipps Goga looked good.

I see that as an argument to wait for draft night unless a contender gives us the proverbial offer we can't refuse.

Could be value in moving off some of the long-term deals when they're still holding the most value, and getting a better look at the young guys... :dontknow:

Like, I love Sabonis, but right now, I'd be ok if he's dealt, and we see a ton of Goga/Jackson/Brissett, all while Turner sits 20ish games to heal and then is dealt at the draft? Or, if someone offers value for Turner now, I'd be ok with dealing both of them.

With Turner hurt, you don't need to trade Sabonis to get minutes for Goga at 5 and Brissett and Jackson at 4. Just keep Craig mostly at 3.

Yeah, but you could see Goga and Jackson get MORE minutes if you trade them!

Personally, I'd just like to see some of the other guys get more than just 12 minutes a night. I'd like to see them get a good amount and just play through development. It's a lost year, and Sabonis is essentially at his maximum trade value right now. It'd make sense if this roster is just not gonna hack it. And if you're committed to Carlisle for multiple years at big money, you need to get a roster in he can coach asap. Because he's clearly having issues coaching this current roster.
