Hell no on Bertans lol. Article said Harrell and Rui which would actually be a nice tryout for Harrell as a stop gap C. That pick would be around 14-20 with where the Wizards are and will be in the standings.

Harrell is actually pretty good though I'm not sure they'd just use him as salary filler.

I've said before that if Grant survives the trade deadline I'd be shocked given his value, but with the Pistons recent play, I'm given to guaranteeing he's gone before to long.

The Pistons ball movement, and play has been better without Grant, and I think 2022 has solidified that for Weaver.

Still hoping on Patrick, but Washington does have some good assets.

Harrell is a salary filler that’s an expiring contract to make the trade work. He would be our best center though. Would be nice for our point guards to have someone to throw a lob to.

We also can't trade a future first in any year because of the pick we've already traded being protected as a possible first until 2027 and you can't trade 2029 draft picks yet. That's the type of rumor floated out there to try and up Simmons trade value.

Not likely. Notice the "for example," meaning it wasn't the Pistons' idea nor was it ever offered by the Pistons because it says later in the article that only the Sixers were talked to. "The Pistons' package" in that context means "A package of Pistons players," not "What the Pistons offered." But journalists know what they're doing; they know damn well that most readers would assume the latter.

I want nothing to do with Rui. He’s a bench lifer.

The only young guys I’d want from Washington (outside of Beal, obviously) are Avdija and Bryant. Maybe Todd as well.

They did a video on Avdija showing how the team is much better with him on the floor defensively. Maybe not long arms, but can defend and seems like a guy you could develop his scoring. No to Rui, same thoughts. He had to step away from basketball because he spent too much time in his life around basketball? naw. Any deal has to have Deni involved.

As for the Offer to philly who doesn't like it at all. What would the lineup with Ben Simmons in it? Would he replace Killian?, better suited at pf? Killian, Cade, Hami/Josh, Ben Simmons, Stewart. Not alot of offense there. Although defense would be good. Not super enthralling to me. But maybe rehab Simmons worth and trade away later. He can't be worth much less than he is worth right now.

Avija+Bertans+pick sounds like a great deal. Bertrans is the type of player who will get you another first down the road.
