I agree with you. I still think it’s a huge grift until proven otherwise

That’s right, Biden was in on the insurrection plot and there is a backdoor handshake deal between him and Trump not to prosecute

I know you just being sarcastic. But I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibilities that this administration could’ve made a behind closed doors decision to go through the motions of going hard after Trump just to get the evidence of his complicity out onto the public domain without going through with formal indictments. I think they fear bomb plots and other forms of terroristic retaliation from the right wing militias if they go through with a prosecution.

Obviously, we’re all just spitballing here. No one here has inside information on this. We’re all just trying to read the tea leaves. There no reason to get mad at anyone.

Trust me, I’d love nothing more than to see the Orange Trumpanzee and his family doing perp walks. But I’d rather have a robust BBB and voting rights bills, if we had to choose between the two. Right now, looks like we’re getting nada.

Truth be told, I knew very little about that band because they had one big hit on AM radio and I hated it. So every time they were on The Midnight Special or Don Kirschner’s Wock Concert, I passed.

I barely listened to the video you posted. Maybe I’ll give it another try.

How about The Amazing Rhythm Aces? Third Rate Romance, The Ella B?

Yeah...it was like reading people on here using stats as the end all be all in any conversation. Causation vs correlation etc. It was interesting watching it unfold though. That's what made me check the source...which I didn't waste much more of my time doing.

I hope the vaccines are safe long term. That's all I can say. I hope I never get Covid(if I didn't already) and...I can't wait for this to calm down...if it ever does.

We put our faith in the hands of the best doctors and scientists in world. Science has never been so advanced. I see this as a pretty easy decision. And if/when they tell me to take a 4th, 5th, and or 6th inoculations, I’ll follow their recommendations and get them.

And get used to masking in public indoor settings in 2023 too. -Wingodamus

You can put your faith in whoever hands you want to. That's all good. I trust medicine and science too but... I'll reserve my faith for proven results. I'm not signing up for yearly shots for anything. I'll follow mandates for masks with no problem. I'm not gonna be first in line to start pumping **** in my veins unless I'm at a party! Seriously though...can you call your guy for me or what? DOH. I'm gonna wait and see how many more variants and how many new vaccines come out as things progress. So far I'm up to date on my shots. Let's see where this goes.

No. Why would I get a flu shot? It's the flu! Tetanus I get because usually every five years or so I would get hurt at work(construction)...and they would ask. Then I get it. I think I have another year left since my last tetanus actually. I'm due for an injury soon. what's your point? Those things actually work.

If you had just left that part out.

The COVID vaccines actually work at a very high efficiency rate. Where do you get this misinformation from? Post a citation to a legitimate scientific journal that backs you up. I'll wait.

Also, the statistics show that the overwhelming hospitalizations are coming from the unvaccinated. How do you explain that under your theory?

I like everything.

NRPS, Old & In The Way, Flatt & Scruggs, Earl Monroe, Doc Watson and so on.

Dr Hook - I don't specifically like them, but I admired their commitment to partying and living the musician life, dedicated to "a good time". Plus the whole Shel Silverstein connection.

Being a musician, I like a lot of different music, never owned anything by Dr Hook but they did have some pretty big hits including "Cover of the Rolling Stone" and "Sylvia's Mother" which were huge. They were indeed known for um... their excesses and a friend of mine caught their act when they were pretty much down and out, at the end of their careers at the local Casino of all places. I remember it well because my friend said that they were in bad shape and looked about 150 years old, as Moms Mabley used to say "That man so old... he's older than this birthday. They gave it a good try but not the best performance they'd ever seen. :noway:

Oh right “Cover Of The Rolling Stone”! That was a cool fun song which brings to mind songs by Mongo Jerry (“In The Summertime”), The Looking Glass (“Brandy”), and King Harvest (“Dancing In The Moonlight”) from that era.

“Sharing The Night Together” was the Dr. Hook one I hated. Wasn’t crazy about “Sylvia’s Mother” either.

Anyone who quotes Moms Mabley is cool is cool in my book.

I’ve played guitar since I was a young lad. What do you play?

I play guitar and piano, write and produce. I would like to be a cross between Donald Fagen and Maurice White, good luck with that right! Hey it's not the destination but the journey right?

My initial thought was don't go disrespecting my boys and one my all time favourite songs like that but you know something, that was pretty decent, all things considered of course. Amazing what you can do with a little splicing eh.

They just arrested a dozen Oathkeepers in one sweep and charged them with SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY.

SEDITION

I don’t need x-ray goggles to know what is happening here

And it doesn’t much matter what that investigation reaps, because Trump will be indicted soon enough by NYS and NYC and Atlanta. There is no escape hatch for him. He will forfeit his assets to NYS soon and he will be under criminal indictment for fraud in NYC and he will be indicted for election fraud in GA. By the time the feds get to him he’ll already be a bloody pulp

Letitia James said her office has “significant evidence” in its case against the Trump Organization and is turning up the heat on Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr.

You don't say.

Just imagine what would happen to the average Joe who would tell the tax man his house was worth $167,000 and the next day tell the bank that it's worth $5,270,000 to get a loan.

What makes it even more unfair is that the white collar types have the ability to hire lawyers and accountants to shield them from any of the possible legal ramifications. They can say, I didn't fill out that form, my lawyer or accountant did, go after them. Also, you have to prove actual "intent" that this person meant to and or knew they were doing something illegal. Imagine that. That is why so few white collar crimes are ever filed, never mind won.

The Atlanta investigation has probably the best chance to go forward.

I read this too. That’s a lot of bravado coming from James. Sounds like she thinks she has enough evidence to move forward.

But isn’t her case a civil case against the entity, Trump Organization, and not a criminal case against Donald? The other issue which is problematic is that this kind of fraud is rampant throughout the real estate industry in NYC.

You keep kidding yourself that this won’t result in punitive damages. Trump and his kids are going to plead the fifth because they are even more afraid of the NYC criminal case that ties into this NYS case and that is all James needs to determine culpability, thus seize properties

She’s giving all of the criminal proof to the Manhattan DA who will handle the criminal charges

From an article:

If her lawyers find evidence of wrongdoing, the office can file a lawsuit. As the inquiry is a civil one, Ms. James cannot file criminal charges.

But Ms. James’s office is also involved in the separate criminal investigation now being led by the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who was sworn in on Saturday. The previous district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., who had been supervising the investigation for more than three years, left office at the end of the year.

Imagine that. That is why so few white collar crimes are ever filed, never mind won.

The Atlanta investigation has probably the best chance to go forward.

I hope your right and I'm wrong.

Believe me I would love for him to get his just do, been a long long time coming. One of the main reasons why he has gotten away with it, as far as the real estate and taxes shenanigans he's been doing forever, is because of what real estate investors get away with in the U.S., especially in New York, as Wingo has brought up. No one wanted to flash any light in the backroom for fear of being found out.

You don't say.

Just imagine what would happen to the average Joe who would tell the tax man his house was worth $167,000 and the next day tell the bank that it's worth $5,270,000 to get a loan.

I suggest you stop thinking generically and start looking specifically at what is happening. The argument that these people were going to get away with murder because previous people in their socio-economic brackets milked the system was neutered as soon investigation(s) on Trump, his company, his children and/or various mafia were opened. Assumptions they are for show is just laughable.

Significantly more people affiliated with Trump have already done time, are doing time or are facing time than any previous administration so I really don't know WTF you guys are going on about. People did hard time for Watergate. There is a lot more going on here.
