Jazz 10-8 since hiring Ainge, this is obviously the right thing to blame

I think it may have brought some upheaval to players psyche.
Ingles is cooked.

Rumors have increased but I don't think that was a result of Ainge, it is a result of our poor play.

You add Valentine or House and... you don't play them.

Not sure how I feel about it if true.
That is all.
Ainge has been nothing but bad Karma for us since day 1 of his being involved with the organization. I am hearing that he is trying to blow up the team and completely rebuild. Trading Mitchell to Miami for Bam and Herro. Gobert to Raptors for Siakum. And everyone else except Conley he wants out too. We had the #1 seed last year, I get making some tweaks to put us over the top but blowing it up?? Really not liking his involvement with our organization. I wonder if the players feel insecure and it has messed with their heads accounting for the terrible product we've seen on the court lately (injuries notwithstanding).

I have no problem with it. We should have blown it up long ago, this core isn't good enough. I'm not on board with trading Mitchell, though, but everyone else should be traded for assets and we should build from the ground up around Mitchell.
Having said that, Bam, Herro and Siakam isn't a bad core to build around.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

That’s not terrible, hopefully we are getting picks for trading Gobert for Siakam, guess it will be name #3 at this point

Bam and Herro would be quite the haul for Donovan actually - If that was what is on the table I'd be looking to move Bam to a third team and bring back another young asset, just don't think we'd want to pay a center the max again.

Building around Mitchell, who at the very best and wishful estimate best is on the level of Lillard or Wall, means 5-6 years in the range from mediocre to bottom feeding and finally sealing the Minnesota-like role in the league.
Of course there will be a lot more trades and rumors and other activities outside actual on-court competitions, so may be it is OK.

You cannot have Mitchell be the core without Gobert. Just watch what will happen to Mitchell's career if he demands a trade or signs a free agent deal with the Knicks or some other team. He will become Bradley Beal unless he has a DPOY-calibre player with him. The He is like modern Iverson with modern Mutumbo. He is too small to be #1 option you build around. So if you want to be a homer and keep Mitchell, then you must keep Gobert and then you commit to building around those two and we've actually done a fairly decent job of that and it almost worked last year (except Quin got outcoached by Liu).
So if you want to blow it up....you start with Mitchell.

Or with Quinn, streaky 3p offense and lazy defense. If DM will be OK with this small-market blue-collar framework (Gobert evidently is) , he can stay too.

How is Gobert and Mitchell not good enough but Bam, Herro and Siakam is? Mitchell and Gobert are both better than any of those.
Right now the problem with this team is not the top 2 players. It's the rest of the roster.

I can't speak in any absolutes. All I know is that we tried for a long time to get somewhere with Mitchell and Gobert and it didn't work. We haven't tried Bam, Herro and Siakam (not that it has any chance of happening). I think that with Bam and Siakam you get good two-way players who are athletic and can guard multiple positions, which is what we need. And they are good offensive players as well. The fit better to how the game is played today.
As for the rest of the roster being where the problem lies, well, that may be true as well, but we are where we are. Complementary players are easier to get than star players. I can't see the Jazz get better value than Bam, Herro and Siakam (which, again, does not seem realistic to me whatsoever).

100% this. Not saying that the top2 guys have no accountability for issues, nor does that mean that all the other players are an issue, but the Jazz's lack of versatile, hungry, athletic players shows up on the norm. (It's not the coach, either.)

Agreed. With Niang out and Gay in, with Clarkson and Ingles in 3p slump and Mitchell taking longer, more difficult threes, we aren't the high 3p% team we were last season.
I would like to see the Jazz make a concerted effort to feed the two big big men more frequently. Gobert is averaging 16 ppg on 8 fga for a NBA-leading 72.8 TS%. Whiteside is averaging 7.8 ppg on 4.9 fga off the bench for a 65.7 TS% --- fifth best in NBA for guys coming off the bench with at least Whiteside number of games and mpg. We frequently miss opportunities to get them the ball in good position. I think the two of them should be averaging closer to a combined 28 ppg rather than 23.8 ppg.
