Cade up to number 2, he’s settling in a lot more recently and looks like a potential future star to me. Pre draft I said he had a lot of Joe Johnson scoring in his skill set in terms of ability to score in isolation.

Already he’s up to 10th in the league in points per isolation, ahead of players like Luka, Trae, Giannis.
He’s been very solid on defense both as a an individual and a team defender. He can play both on and off ball. Been over 40% from 3pt on high volume for the past month +, and you can see him developing as a lead guard every game.
Once he gets a little older and bulks up a bit, he’s going to be extremely difficult to guard.

what's as impressive to me is that he's blowing by quality defenders, not just taking advantage of mismatches. there's a lot of examples but the first time that opened my eyes was against the sixers in november. he pulled off an in and out dribble to blow by thybulle and finish a layup over embiid. both dudes were second team all-defense last season. you don't see players often do that, let alone rookies.

Rookie ranking in terms who I rather have going forward (not best rookie this year)

Tier 1
Mobley (All-NBA defense, sagging off a bit)

Tier 2
Wagner (Elite shooting and passing, kinda like what Cade is supposed to be)
Barnes (Hitting a rookie wall hard)
Sengun (Most productive offensive player in limited minutes, mini Jokic/Sabonis two in one)

Tier 3
Cade (Scoring comes really naturally, but he has serious issues with ball security. Doesn't seem to elevate team with his passes. He is one of those point guards who runs the offense, but not the type of point guard who is THE offense like Chris Paul and Jokic, Harden, LeBron, etc).
Green (Elite scoring potential, but sucks at everything)
Giddey (Elite passers, not sure how high his ceiling can be being a pure passer).

Not gonna list impact players like Herb Jones, Chris Duarte since they are already 23/24 years old. All other players are likely role players unless someone pulls a Jimmy Butler level developmental path.

At this point, I see one all-star plus player in Mobley, then the rest of the 6 are all borderline all-star to all-star in realistic outcome scenarios (some higher than others).

False, he got banged up and is still recovering from injuries. He's been rusty since his return but this isnt the rookie wall that hes hit

There was a point in time that I had Ayo Dosunmu going top ten in my mocks. Obviously he isn't that good but I never had him out of the 20's. Definitely should have been a first rounder.

Had some spare time so I went ahead and made Part 5. Figured it was a good time to refresh the poll.
