Good news. KAT will need to drink lots of coffee. That probably means he will both be in foul trouble and drop 40.

I give most of the credit for this to Finch and to PatBev, who got the whole team to buy in. Rosas did bring both of these people onto the team, so it’s up to you if you want to credit him for that. He also brought in Vanterpoole and 2019-2021 Russell, who didn’t help us defensively at all. ::shrug::

In a vacuum Rosas didn't have an ideal rebuild. But if you ask me, I don't see another realistic scenario/GM who could it better.

Something I've wondered about with Nowell.....

He had a bit of a rocky start to his career here, with tough contract negotiations and playing in the G League, etc. This is the first year he's really played loose and free. Could the Rosas departure have played a part in his improved play? I know company line is players don't care about management, but I'd think it's different for a 2nd rounder who was in tense contract negotiations before his rookie year as opposed to the first or second overall pick.

I don't connect this to Rosas. Start of this season was tough for him, played behind McLaughlin and Bolmaro. That was under Gupta. Last season with Rosas he played very good stretch at the end of the season. I think it is more finding his role and developing defense. A few times this year Finch mentioned that Nowell defense held him out of rotation last year.
