Lowry/Smart
Strus/Dipo
Jimmy/Herro
Tucker/Martin
Bam/Yurt or Dedmon

That’s deep and great fits in the 1st and 2nd unit. Martin more than likely falls out of the rotation in the playoffs

Not a fan of Smart, but that team looks good on paper. And I definitely don't see Martin falling out of the rotation while he's on the team. Plays solid defense, adds athleticism, can hit the 3 pretty consistently .. everything that we want in a wing.

It would honestly just depend on how deep Spo wants to go. I can’t see him playing over any of those other guys in the 2nd unit.

I hate smart lol but I feel he’s one of those guys you hate when he’s not on your team and love when he is. He’s a Heat guy for sure

In the short term yes, but long term no. If a whale comes available this off season, let's say Donavan Mitchell, We would need Duncan's salary to make it work. That is a very valuable contract and we should not just use it to trade for a bench player when you can use it for a star.

If Duncan can get hot in the playoffs, he is way more valuable than anyone we can get for him straight up right now.

I think we ride it out with Duncan, It's not like we don't have any other shooters right now. We have Struss and to a lesser degree Martin and Vincent. There is no question Duncan needs a change of scenery but the timing just doesn't suit us right now. Moving him in the off season can get us much more in return.

This Is a good point and also wouldn’t surprise me. I think Mitchell’s time with the Jazz is up within the next year or 2, maybe even this offseason.

Robinson Herro and Tucker with picks would match salary and assets I would say.

Lowry
Mitchell
Jimmy
Martin/Strus
Bam

Or we go big like some want:

Lowry
Mitchell
Jimmy
Bam
Yurt

Why do we need Smart?

per 75 poss
Smart 12.7 PTS | 4.4 TRB | 5.8 AST | 2.4 stocks | 30.4% 3P
Vincent 15.3 PTS | 3.4 TRB | 4.8 AST | 2.0 stocks | 38.6% 3P

And Caleb should definitely see PT in the playoffs. He's probably our best 3&D player after PJ and he has good handles.

Love that recent line by Yurt. He keeps that up for half a season and he's an allstar. Imagine benching a guy playing like an allstar.

We need a backup 4 for our soon to be 37 year old Tucker and the fanbase keeps trading for more guards with Dipo around the corner and 6’5 200 pound Martin forced to play out of position as the current backup 4. Smdh

I just don’t trust some of these young guys in the playoffs, Martin to a lesser extent than Gabe though.

Agreed, any trade needs to be bringing back a back up 4 or a good enough player to become a starting 4.

Maybe they view Morris as the backup 4, I personally don’t think he should crack the rotation if he ever comes back. Or maybe the like Martin there idk. Where does martin play other than there if we’re at full strength? A consolidation trade has to happen.
