Victory should be overturned.

Loss of a draft pick discussion.

There is no debate, he intended to do this, 100%.

That’s a bit… aggressive

No need for all that. A decent suspension with loss of pay should be enough.
Certain things cannot be tolerated, period. Imagine the Wizards miss the playoffs by one game. Loss of revenue is massive.

Imagine this happened in the playoffs, or finals and the title was on the line. You absolutely cannot have this happening, period. It reminds me of that football play where one of the coaches tripped a player on the field.

Utterly unacceptable.

Nah do it against lebron, the league would go on a lockout, draft picks would be taken, refs n coaching staff fired and banned, and his team awarded the win
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

People make mistakes. This whole ‘FIRE HIM’ thing has to be stopped. It’s excessive.

If I was the Wizards I'd refuse to play until the looked at the play and made the correct call.

I don’t understand why we can’t have additional ‘video’ refs that watch the camera feeds that can quickly call/overturn these things live. It’s 2022.

Good defense, even smarter play by the coach to deflect it inbounds to a teammate. Solid vet move.

Yeah that’s an entire different level. You have to come down hard on this.

Relegate the Nets to the WNBA imo.

For sure, because you expect coaches to show integrity. It's not the same as a player not owning up to it because bad calls are part of the game. This was interference that he should have just owned up to right away and the refs could have made the call accordingly know that he did indeed hit the ball.

That's what coaching is all about. It's interactive, hands on.

I could understand touching a ball coming right at you but he had full extension on that one.

I mean in a one point loss for the Wizards, that's just an egregious no-call. I don't know what the best way to rectify it is. At the very least, you have to fine that coach. If I'm the Wizards, I'm at least petitioning to replay 14 seconds of the game (with the Wizards ball) with a chance to ultimately win the game again. I believe that was done once about ten years ago (with maybe the Hawks and Pacers if I'm remembering correctly)?

The only time I remember this happening is with the Heat. Once. And that happened because scorekeeper ruled a player fouled out (Shaq) when he only had 5. It was a scorekeepers error, not a referee error.

Point being- I don't see them doing this for a missed call.

Total bush league move by the coach. I think the Nets should be dissolved as a franchise, and a player sent to each remaining Eastern conference team. I'll start, the Bulls get Durant. Who's next?

Anyway yeah it's total Jason Kidd level coaching incompetence to interfere with the game, and I can't believe the ref didn't call a tech on it. Well, I can. I will never be convinced there's a worse lot of referees for any legitimate sport in the world than the NBA.

Fine the coach. Send the ref back to the kiddie pool for awhile.

As a real New Yorker, I understand the hate, I really do. But no need to insult the WNBA like that. New Yorkers love both our NYC basketball teams. Liberty and Knicks are both good in my book.

The entire bench should be required to sit during play, except for the head coach.
This happens way too often. Not at this level but still....
The other reason is that it sucks for the fans that have tickets behind the bench. You basically have to watch the game on Jumbotron when they are up. I avoid those seats at all costs now.
