Last season was better for him. I think he prefers temperate or even humid climates found in Texas and Florida.

This feels like a Bargnani excuse...

Kings Inform De'Aaron Fox He's Not Being Shopped In Trade Talks

The Sacramento Kings have informed teams that they want to continue building around De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton and don't have plans to trade either player, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/265498/Kings-Inform-DeAaron-Fox-Hes-Not-Being-Shopped-In-Trade-Talks

I'm not sure what to make of this. We've heard everyone was available.

So I'll go with franchise history with Vivek as an owner.

Under Vlade's GM, Cousins was told he wasn't going to be traded, then during the All Star break he was moved.

Sure Cousins was polarizing, but it wasn't like the deal was so good they just had to make the move.

Monte is not Vlade....sure.

But I have no idea what Vivek wants. He seems to change his mind and get impatient frequently.

Embiid having 20 and 5 in under the 1st quarter is a heck of a line.

What's Mo Bamba's trade value? What's the trade for the Raptors?

We should have one general Kings thread... reports are all over the place in different directions.

Again I ask: How crazy is a Wall-Westbrook swap where Russ takes a big buyout?

Can't imagine any other team trading for him. Wall is at least something different (and klutch!) because this just is never going to work. Rockets save money, Russ gets to divorce the Lakers

I think the chance is bordering on zero, but it shouldn't be. Westbrook could get most of his money, then go wherever he wants. Heck, I'm sure the Clippers would love him on a minimum this year, and with their TPMLE after that.

Do you think the hold up is the Lakers taking wall sight unseen or Russ taking that buyout? I think he's in a MUCH better position to give back money than Wall, who apparently does not want to give back any (understandable)

Wall sight unseen.

And probably even more so the ‘oh I messed up’ factor. To do that deal is to basically admit how bad the first deal was and that’s a tough thing to do even if it should be done.

Because of the Wolves' start and defensive ranking, Gupta said he would categorize them more as "buyers" at the deadline because there's an opportunity to secure a playoff spot and avoid the play-in tournament. But being a "buyer" doesn't mean shopping for a rental player who won't be in Minnesota beyond this season. Gupta said any deal the Wolves make will be geared toward improving now and over the next five years to maximize the "runway" Gupta said the Wolves have with center Karl-Anthony Towns and guards D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards.

"We do see an opportunity to get up to maybe the five [seed], to work our way out of the play-in to just secure a playoff spot outright, which would be great," Gupta said. "Given that opportunity, I'd say we're more buyers. But generally I would say we're buyers over the long term

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/265504/Domantas-Sabonis-Probably-Has-%22Significant%22-Ankle-Sprain
The Indiana Pacers got a win on the road over the Los Angeles Lakers, but may have lost their All-Star center in the process. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said postgame that Domantas Sabonis "has an ankle sprain that's probably going to be significant."

Sabonis may be out for a while. Would think Indy won't move him for a discount so this probably closes the door on him getting moved.

Yeah fair enough. I just kinda assumed we were past that second point by now lol

I don't think Westbrook would take a buyout in Houston. So then he would likely be sitting at home not playing.

Who's clamoring to bring him in as a starter? Being traded and taking the buyout might be him cementing the transition to a bench player. I don't believe he's ready to do that yet as Carmelo alluded to after the game last night.

LA also might have to attach something. If Westbrook isn't taking a buyout and Houston plans to have him sit at home what benefit are they getting in this trade?

Well I don't think LA would do that and I don't think Houston would do it for free so in that case it's dead. Only has wheels if Russ wants to go somewhere else and get to play Russ ball

I think they might be willing to send a second or two if Westbrook is unwilling to do a buyout but they also just feel like they need a change.
