Kings Inform De'Aaron Fox He's Not Being Shopped In Trade Talks

The Sacramento Kings have informed teams that they want to continue building around De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton and don't have plans to trade either player, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Kings have informed Fox and his representation, Chris Gaston, of their position.

The Kings have been linked in trade rumors with both the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons and Indiana Pacers for Domantas Sabonis.

all good and well, that you want sabonis or simmons. but other than fox and haliburton you dont have assets. so might aswell give up on that

derozan is not a suggested target.

I wonder if he's happy to hear it or is ready for a new start.

I do not believe the Kings won't move him though, for the right price. Maybe just saying this to calm the waters a bit.

Right decision? when both Fox and Barnes have the worst defensive ratings of your roster... Barnes has only one year left at 18M, but Fox, 30M/32.6M/35M/37M after this season... hitting 24% of his 3Pts attemps... I would trade him now

Kings aren't shopping him per se but they are willing to include him in deals for players they really want.

I agree, best time to trade him while he's in his fifth season and people think he has a lot of potential and upside. Which he does, but probably only as a scorer and attacking the rim. He's a big liability with defense, and his shooting/floor spacing. Too big of negatives with the amount of money he makes.

Ya, good way of putting it. They aren't looking to move him specifically but if the right deal came along that they couldn't resist, he's probably gone. It would be a good move as he's the biggest trade asset they have. They won't get a real game changer with trading Bagley, Buddy & Barnes. Even if it's all in the same deal.
