Yes but like what the others have said, depends on what the Knicks would have to give up.

I mostly agree. But Fox has had 4 1/2 NBA seasons and he got a bit better at age 21 then has just been worse. I'd say the only Knicks young enough to potentially be better than Fox would be IQ and healthy Mitch. I'd put it at 15% for IQ and Mitch, Mitch mostly because health matters so much for him. RJ I see less potential just because his athletic ceiling as a wing just isn't there, I put at 10%.

But aiming to be as good as Fox is to be the 70th best player or so.

But the Knicks don't have a top 50 player on roster. So saying a $163 million player would be the best player on the Knicks isn't saying a whole lot. Harrison Barnes would be the best player on the Knicks. OG Anunoby would be the best player on the Knicks. Dejounte Murray would be the best player on the Knicks. Gordon Hayward would probably be the best player on the Knicks.

If the Knicks are just exchanging terrible contracts and swapping Randle for Fox that's more palatable. Randle is unfixable, maybe Fox can become an elite defensive player and possibly get back to 33% from 3.

To be quite honest, if any of those players were on the Knicks and in Randle's role they'd look like absolute ass.

Randle's role is what he makes it. Would those players do all the iso turn and chuck garbage we have to endure with Randle? Would they be literally the worst high volume mid range chucker in the league? I doubt it. Randle read his own headlines and actually thinks he's an A option and that offense should run through him and his bald orc coach fell right in line. The result is one of the worst offenses in basketball, and being last in pace/possessions and being unwatchable most nights.

IQ isn't that good. He's an undersized SG with a shooting problem and his PG skills suck nuts.
Mitch is a rim rolling C who is a borderline NBA starter and that only if you like having a limited offensive player as one of your 5 starters.

People really need to come to terms with just how awful this roster really is, top to bottom.
The "good" news is the contracts aren't 4 and 5 years long, but the Knick are pretty committed to operating over the cap, which is fine; if you have talent.
Trouble is, Knicks don't have any talent.
Not any compelling talent.

Agree Wandle for Fox is the only move that would make sense. That would be if the Kings were idiots and they aren't.

Knicks lack talent so players are put in roles above their head.
But that's not the only issue.
Thibs enables Randle for whatever reason. There isn't the accountability there.
Or, Obi is that awful that he cannot be played more than 9 minute per game.
It's one or the other, either one an indictment on the FO.

I was all for Thibs. I've defended him. He's a good coach in that he'll max out some mediocre roster by being a total lunatic about practices until the players tune him out in 2+ seasons.

So, as usual, the Knicks are padding some wins onto a mediocre collection of mercenary vets and gaining useless wins, only this time the coach is a little better and the team is a little better.

But as usual, they can't really team build, can't really draft well (they "ok") and don't know when to selectively tank (last year).

Again, we hoped that randomly Leon Rose would be a genius (nope) or that he'd hire a big name, very good GM or rising young genius assistant GM. Instead, hello Scott Perry.

Knicks are doomed, as usual.
Team sucks
No future.
No excitement.
Except if Dark Mario Herzonja chucking it up over the next 40 games thrills you.

Your dad has risen, an early Easter miracle.

I do have to say, only the Knicks could get a much better record and still be in hell. Deeper in hell probably lol.

It's not.
That's because the Knick's talent kind of sucks.

Possibly a 3 team deal……….

Randle Burks to Portland

Covington and Powell to 76ers

Tobias Harris to the Knicks

I have to say I wouldn’t like that one bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who? And I would do that trade, Tobias is a better fit and only has 2 years left vs 4 more years of Wandle. Can be traded at next years deadline easily to a contender.

Tobias is cool and tipped me that one time for no reason when I was bouncing at the back door of a club.
