I would imagine with both Turner and Sabonis out for an extended time that Indiana would be big time sellers at the trade deadline. Tanking makes sense in Indy. Could be some real decent deals there.

Edit: Doesn't look like they have much of anything over there.

Bertans is the kind of money you could take back for Horford - w/ Harrell? - if he were playing better - not even great or 40 from range, just not so bad his career might be over - and WAS preferred Kuzma and wanted flexibility. As is, he might be the worst contract in the league.

Like, we might *get* a 1st for Al in that scenario

For a reason.

Bertans the last three seasons:

FG Pct

2020 .434
2021 .404
2022 .358

3PT Pct

2020 .424
2021 .395
2022 .336

After this year 3 years left on his contract for $49 million. No thank you unless he comes with Beal.

He’s up to .336 from three? Must’ve warmed up lately

That's better than Tatum.

Westbrook is a train wreck.

Still curious about selling high on Jaylen but totally realize C's will not.

Not really interested in Beal.

Would love to ditch vets and play kids but Ime/Brad.

Feeling trapped.

Can we at least do this for the rest of the season?? If we're a .500 team anyway, at least raise the value of the young guys. The vets aren't changing our trajectory this season. It's still up to Tatum and Brown how far this team will go.

Rotation of Smart/Brown/Tatum + PP/Nesmith/Ro/Grant/Timelord and whatever we get for Richardson/Schroder/Horford

I know he's been hurt but what's up with TJ Warren? I wouldn't mind him as the third wing in the starting lineup.

That makes sense to me assuming the plan is to keep Tatum and Brown. In fact, I thought Langford played quite well last night. And if the young guys don't play well, I wouldn't mind a lottery pick.

The appeal to Westbrook is getting out of Al’s money and having someone to hold down the 1 when you trade Smart/Schroeder

Why would the Grizz do that? . Memphis is a contender, in case you hadn't noticed. They might do Slo Mo and Jones for Smart, but then we're stuck with Horford.

It will come as an absolute shock if that isn't the plan.

I'd rather have Wall to hold down the 1. Money is about the same, and Houston might take Schroder in the deal. The Lakers would not.

Bertrans has a horrific contract. Could see him being tacked on to Beal to make up our value/talent gap if they end up going the trade route with us but no way should we touch him independent of a Beal deal.

If you think it’s unrealistic I feel good about the idea ;)

Probably because they’re contending - it’d be like their Marc Gasol for JVal trade reversed - Adams is a very distinct player, doesn’t stretch the floor and isn’t mobile, excellent defender anyway but limits what you can do. Horford could be a better fit. I think we’d have to sweeten it with something, unfortunately. But Marc on his last legs for a younger, less talented center worked out well for Toronto.. they’d be Toronto in this deal.

So then we trade Al for...a top 5 bad contract in the league? A contract that might be worse than Kemba? **** no

How is Smart different than Richards and Schroeder? Schroeder is expiring so whatever happens happens but no way do I just unload Richardson he has been great. Outside of Grant Williams the kids have sucked and can't be given away.

Any news on Fernando for Collins? Around a week ago I heard (sauces) we may have to add a heavily protected 2nd but POBO is holding firm on not doing it atm. One more loss and we may have to give in.
