Offers for Anthony Davis

Post#1 » by scoobs07 » Thu Jan 20, 2022 4:18 pm

Prior to the injury, he was having one of the best statistical seasons of his career. In case Lakers actually decide to blow it up, what would you offer for AD?

The first four words of your post will be the upper cap factor on what we can get.

I’d accept a return of Ingram, Lonzo, Hart, Randle, T Bryant, Wagner. Sorry, but I don’t think he’s going anywhere.

If/when he does get traded, if ever, I’d guess it’ll be to Chicago. There’s definitely enough talent and expirings to get a two team trade to work.

For Westbrook, ANTHONY FREAKING DAVIS, baze, DeAndre....

Toronto (with THT)... Dragic, Scottie, boucher, siakim, and Gary Trent Jr

Sacramento would give us Haliburton, heild, Barnes, Bagley, Tristan, and Holmes

Indiana... Brogdon, Turner, lamb, Warren, McConnell

Philly... Harris, Simmons, Seth, Matisse

Portland....arfenee, Covington, nurkic, and powell

If, and that is a big if, both teams are ready to re-shuffle their deck, I think an Anthony Davis for Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart trade would make a lot of sense to me. Smart and Brown fits well around LeBron, and AD is less of a redundancy from a skill set perspective with Tatum

Any deal with Davis must include Westbrook.

The goal would be to get a 1a or 1b type of guy in return, hopefully someone Davis' age or younger.

All I'll say is Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris are available.

The "now" window is closed. Bron ain't willing another one here. Any trade of Davis needs to include picks... as many as you can get. Let' Westbrook expire next year... let Melo go so he can Klingon another contender. Same with Howard.

They won't do this but it would cut 2 years off the next rebuild. Jeannie needs the revenue generated from the drama.... Maybe it's time for a new owner too.

Yeah i mean it's true and ironic that what I would want back is pretty much what we gave up. I wish we had the young Lakers back.

AD, DeAndre, base and Westbrook..... Jaylen, smart, horford, and jrich

Tatum would love AD and he likes Westbrook

I would love to look into trading smart and jrich for Barnes and hield

:o

Honestly I'm bewildered by the negativity on this board lately and how spoiled our fanbase can be.

There are fanbases desperate for a finals appearance let alone a ring. We won a champion in 1/2 seasons that we've had AD that certainly wouldn't have had if we didn't trade for him.

Some notes:

- We didn't lose Randle or T.Bryant for AD.
- I'm not sure if I even take a hypothetical Ingram/Lonzo/Hart package for AD right now, considering what we need to add to match salaries.
-loveshaq786's offers are either unrealistic (Toronto especially) or make no sense
- Players get injured. Obviously AD has been getting more injured more often than the average player and has a higher risk. But Lonzo just torn his meniscus and has had his share of lingering injuries. There is no reason to think that AD's injuries have permanently led to him becoming a less player. How often he gets injured is obviously a concern though, and so is his focus and motivation so this season
- If we were to trade AD, we might as well trade Lebron and go for a full rebuild.

I just want to remind everyone of one thing:

We were up 2-1 against the Suns, the team that relatively comfortably won the west and played a competitive finals, before AD went out. Ignoring just the record, we also looked fairly comfortable in games 2/3, in which AD played 2 absolutely monster games. The small sample size at the start of this season, with Lebron missing a lot of the games AD played in, and with the team's new roster and Westbrook's earlier adjusting days isn't enough to give up on AD imo. Not even close. His ability to seemingly get injured at any point in any game is obviously a huge, huge concern, but I don't see any single package that gives us a better chance at contending than this same roster with a healthy AD.

Fair considering Scottie looks like a real stud in the future.

Boston has the best package for the Lakers trade wise.

Would Toronto entertain trading Scottie Barnes for a superstar in ANTHONY DAVIS

Barnes ... And expiring contracts of Dragic, boucher

Maybe add THT and get Gary Trent

I need to make a push for Bradley Beal in off season

Boston and Chicago have theoretical packages that make sense.

Boston- AD and Russ for Horford, Brown, Smart

Chicago- AD, THT, Baze for Caruso, White, Vucevic, Williams, 1st rounder

How about dealing with Boston... Than flipping smart and baze for Caruso and white
