Mavs/Celtics/Pacers and Boston...(Mavs consolidate)

Post#1 » by Mike lorenzo » Thu Jan 20, 2022 8:40 pm

RAPTORS
In:Turner/JGreen/Ntilikina Out:Anunoby/Flynn/Svi

Raptors get the 5 they need.. Green is the type of prospect that will flourish in Toronto, elite athletics, very good defender, great passer....
Ntilikina excellent defender, can hit a 3 .. In general I think they improve, especially long term.

Turner/Achiuwa
Siakam/Boucher
Barnes/Green
Trent/Ntilikina
FVV/Banton

PACERS
In:Brunson/Bullock/Dallas26
Out:Turner..

They get Jalen..a perfect guard for Rick..Bullock a solid veteran 3D Wing (especially on defense) and a 1 Round pick..

MAVS
In:Schroeder/Anunoby/Svi Out:Brunson/Bullock/Green/Dallas26/Ntilikina

In my opinion Anunoby is very close to being the perfect fit, for what the Mavs are doing...the price to pay is high, but I think we would be as good as anyone...
Schroeder is a very good 2 unit guard and replaces Jalen's production a bit..

KP/Powell
Anunoby/Maxi
DFS/Svi
THJ/Brown
Luka/Schroeder

CELTICS
In:Flynn
Out:Schroeder

Boston continues its austerity plan...saving a few million, while getting a guard on a rookie contract with several years of control...who needs a fresh start

If Toronto were willing to give up Anunoby for Turner, that's it. It's done. That's what Indy would greatly desire most. There's no need for Dallas in this. At all.

And even then, Indy's not in a position to break up pieces like this, let alone for an unrestricted free agent, a far off 1st, and a wing that ideally would be our 3rd SF?

i wouldnt trade for turner anymore with his injury. Pre injury i had OG worth more than turner. After the injury it will take more than Green to make up the difference.

Dallas has no place here. And I can't think of a realistic offer they could make for OG that Toronto would accept. Love the target but can't see the path.

I'd love to get Brunson but if The Raps are willing to trade OG for Turner then we'll do that I'm sure.
