Next guy who proposes we trade for Westbrook should be banned.

This is ridiculous. Like we havent been through enough in the last few years...

Disagree. Brad's job is bring in talent that fits in with the team. Westbrook's shooting fits perfectly.

I never said young guys can be given away. I'm suggesting the opposite. Play them more so we can at least find out if their value can be raised. 10 mins a game when main guys are injured aren't gonna cut it.

Other than Nesmith I think we know who Romeo and Grant Williams at this point. Prichard still is dealing with coming back from the broken nose it seems like. All 4 are tradeable if they're getting something decent back. Sometimes in the case of Romeo its okay to admit the pick was a bust and move on.

Romeo's the same age as Nesmith and a 1.5 years younger than PP and has been more productive than both. Why is he the bust of the group?

Romeo has been in the league longer and was a lottery pick. Hes had 3 years to figure it out. At some point maybe its time to say this person can't develop here or just isn't a really good NBA player. We can give him tons of excuses, injuries, covid, whatever you want for Romeo but it just hasn't clicked. Nesmith is in year 2 and looked somewhat productive in spurts last year as a shooter, same with Prichard who is the only one out of the 3 mentioned picked late in the first round and is probably the best of the 3.

I’ll say it again, but man I wish we got Chris Paul when he went to the Suns…. Would’ve been perfect.

Sigh.

Langford is such a waste of physical attributes and talent !
Reminds me a lot of Joe Forte and will be out of the league playing overseas soon ...has no drive or fire

IMO, this is a bit over the top. He may very well be out of the league in the next 2-3 years but he's not a total slug which is basically what you're suggesting here. I wasn't amped with the selection. But he has shown a willingness to be physical and work on defense. Sticks his nose into the fray. And work on off-ball offense when he was a pretty ball dominant player in college. As for others just poo-pooing the injuries and lost practice repetitions as a result, it's being a bit dense.

Now if one wanted to claim he isn't a super-motivated player and should probably have better developed his at the rim finishing ability despite the setbacks otherwise, that's fair.

All that said, I'm not against trading him and particularly with the need to upgrade starters on this team, it is the likely outcome for him as he does seem like he'll top out as a reserve level player.

If Romeo and Nesmith took the PP path, they'd still be in college. This board overrates PP.

What has Pritchard improved at over the course of his admittedly short pro career, other than staying inbounds?

Can't think of anything. He's pretty unremarkable for a guy turning 24 next week.

Payton Pritchard is only a year younger than Devin Booker who's been in the league like a decade.

Like I said, his 3pt% is the same as Smart's. He wouldn't make our spacing any worse.

I think the one thing everyone can agree on is that we need a substantial trade. The offense is putrid and I find it hard to even watch the games at the moment.

I don't the tweet, Smart may not be who he thinks he is, but he certainly has positive value around the league.
