Looks like the old Mavs with the fourth quarter implosion.

They are better even without Ayton. That's sad.

After 40+ games i don't yet understand in what Reggie Bullock is good on a basketball court. Medioman.

And it's time start to think that our shooters aren't so good.

Biyombo destroys our bigs in the 4th quarter. Embarassing.

If it wasn't the 2nd night of a B2B it would've been a win, but Luka's TOs in the 3rd were mostly fatigue and he was out of energy when he came back in the 4th.
It's also reminder that Brunson is great and made a huge leap, but he isn't a star, and he can't take over games.
KP disappointed, Luka's injury/fatigue created a gaping hole, he didn't step in.

EDIT : Well this time the team completly collapsed. Hard to believe they were leading by 9 with 9min. to go. Ugly basketball to end the game.

You cannot play back2back and play more or less Luka nonstop for first 3Qs. This was Kidd's mistake too, he should have rested him, when he was starting making stupid mistakes and missing shots.

KP is always useless in the end, because he cannot create anything.

CP3 was unreal, I can't believe he's almost 37, an absolute master, completely under control.

Luka was really bad in the 2nd half. He was grabbing his hand throughout so perhaps it had an affect to how clumsy he was.

We lost the game due to those lost due to the turnovers along with Brunson's uncharacteristic 6 TOs. 19 compared to 7 suns turnovers which resulted in 20 fast break points as opposed to our 6. That's big and hard to overcome.

I still can’t believe the Rockets were dumb enough to trade CP3 and multiple draft picks for Westbrick. That destroyed their team.

It's mostly due to James Harden needing pieces that just stand around while he dribbles 35 times. Rockets used CP3 as a corner spot up shooter and that doesn't work.

The Suns are one weird team. I think they’re the best coached teams in the league and have the best chemistry. The sum of their parts ends up being way better than looking at the players individually.

The Mavs lost because they shot sub 30% from three point range…again. It’s the biggest story of this year. Everyone is ice cold.

Tough loss. CP3 is probably still the best pg in the NBA just in terms of controlling the game. His play plus the Luka and Brunson's turnovers killed the Mavs.

I would've like to see Chriss get some play specially on back to backs.

Doesn't coach exist exactly for reacting, when he sees that something doesn't work anymore? In the middle of the second half it was obvious that Luka need rest, but he lefted him in almost to the end of the Q and his game felt apart. Subsequently he was more or less useless in Q4 too.

Suns were playing great D on guards in second half.

Sad story is that Mavs didn't even try to get CP3, when he was available. Crowder, who killed us yesterday, was available too.

Suns were shooting even worse and are normally much better shooting team.

The problem for Mavs is that KP is not good enough second option. Suns have 2 great players, who can close games + Ayton as very good C+ 1 of the best defenders in Bridges. They have class better team. 4/5 best players from both teams are from Suns.

To be fair, Devin Booker did his time by waiting for the right team to be built around him. The suns were perenial cellar dwellers before they got the chance to get CP3. Where as Luka fans want him to be surrounded by all stars and win a championship all on his first few years in the league, or he will what? Demand a trade? Pout his way into not playing? LMAO.

Simple answer to Luka is be patient and do his time. Wait for his chance to get his own "CP3" and lose some weight during this process. No 22 year old is winning an NBA championship on his first few seasons. Not even Luka Doncic for that matter.

What are you talking about? Who said anything about Luka demanding a trade? I'm just saying that Suns were one of the worst teams in Luka's draft and made much better moves since. What I'm afraid of is not Luka demanding the trade, but Mavs giving rich long term contracts to Brunson and DFS. This would been nail in the coffin. Mavs are overachieving with this roster, the worst possible scenario would be, if they somehow made to second round and then management understand that they're close with their roster. They're not.

Suns' roster is great example of balance. You have great Pg, great scorer, great defender, very good C and very good bench. Mavs have Luka, who is doing everything, big, who plays as SF and bunch of role players, who all look exactly the same.
