Doesn't Champagnie remind anyone of a 6'8 version of Bane?
I think he can be a good shooter, just not sure if the Raptors wants to draft a low risk prospect. Maybe wait for the combine on his quickness measurement, since he wasn't known for a quick first step.
If Champagnie dropped to the 2nd round and we got a pick, we might take him. But I feel the Raptors like high risk projects (with high IQ).
Later half of the 1st you take the Duarte's and Banes that have potential to be a starter or at least a rotational player. Keep hitting on your draft picks to build the depth from the loss of Kawhi, Ibaka and Gasol for just cap space.
I feel like he's going to be like a Marcus Morris with more deflections on defense.
Duarte was drafted in the 13th, more like Johnny Davis comparison. Meanwhile Banes was in a weak draft, he would be in the mid 2nd of last year or this year, which is exactly my point.
I have Beauchamp (6'6 - 7'0 wingspan) [SG] above Champagnie (6'6 - 6'10 wingspan) [SG], and I am looking at Ingram (6'6 - 7'0 wingspan) [SG], Blake Wesley (6'5 - 6'11 wingspan) [SG], Jordan Hall (6'8 - 7'0 wingspan) [PG].
Note: Justin Champagnie was listed 6'8 last year, and ended up 6'6 in draft combine, so I am not sure Julian Champagnie is 6'7. I think he is closer to his brother in height as 6'6 instead.
