The agenda against Bam on here is crazy to me lol, they just throw out the facts
Love how you support a message that claims bam is one of the 3rd or 4th best defenders… yet previous post your like name me 3 defenders better than him.. lolllll hypocrite
Grasping again, I supported a post showing support for the best defender in the world.
Yes he’s better than Gobert. Way more versatile and doesn’t get played off the court in the playoffs because gets this, HIS DEFENSE!!
Context does matter. Utah has crappy point of attack defenders and one on one defenders. And Gobert covers a lot of their mistakes defensively in the regular season. Now in the post season that can be exploited. But is it really Gobert's fault that fast guard blow past Conley & Mitchell and that Ingles & Bogan are kinda too slow to switch ?
Not really. Even Bam would struggle in the post season with that roster against a team like the Clippers that has 5 players that can shoot.
Personally I'd give the edge to Gobert. I think he has had to cover a lot more for his teammates than Bam has. Defense is a team sport, one player can do so much.
In terms of bigs defensively I would go Draymond, Giannis, Gobert then Bam. If it was 2 seasons ago, I would have AD ahead of Giannis, but he's been MIA last 2 seasons cuz of injuries
