Bamba maybe since he wasn't extended. Would fit our timeline especially since he was highly sought out by Mavs former FO during the 2018 draft.

Bamba with 32 pts with 7 3s today (Embiid scored 50 on him though lol). I've always thought of him as having Myles Turner potential. Probably will never reach that level but even 60-70% of that is a good backup C worth taking a flier on.

Orlando would probably want a 1st...but if they can get him for like M. Brown and a 2nd or 2 I would totally do it + he is a RFA.

Per their Magic board, they seem fine with letting him go for really cheap since the likelihood is they don't extend him. Possible red flag but I do think he's worth a flier because he certainly has the physical tools.

It expires after 1 year, so the Mavs could still use it in the offseason, but I wanted to see it used before the trade deadline.

But the Mavs could use it in a trade or even a Sign & Trade. A guy like Montrezl Harrell or Jusuf Nurkic might go for the amount of the exception. Mo Bamba and Bagley will be RFAs that could be involved in a S&T too. We'll see.

Honestly, the Lakers prolly should have played him more in last year's playoffs. He put up double-digit scoring numbers with the Clippers against the Mavs and other teams.
For the money involved, he's a solid get, but there might be other options that would fit better.
