Same Position as Schoen College Scouting but is CREDITED WITH FINDING THREE PRO BOWLERS. The Direct credit is to HIM!

The fact remains you pumping this dude, but he is NOT on Peters Level. There is a reason why you had Peters above him. Case Closed. The Two are not close to each other at all. And the case can EASILY be made the BETTER candidate was not give a job.

its the 49ers website of course they are going to prop up there own.

There are a lot of people involved in terms of making a draft selection.

He was a college scout at the time of the Von Miller selections there is no way he gets the most credit for that pick.

Also he became the director of college scouting in 2016. He picked Paxton Lynch in the first round. Care to discuss that.

Peters has a really good eye for talent. Everyone makes mistake and just like you got on Schoen.

When he became Asst Director of collegw scouting for Broncos in 2014...there 2014 and 2015 draft years are very mid for Broncos.

I get it. I love what the 49ers are built but one thing you can't say for sure has Peters ever drafted a good QB?

Schoen was a QB in college...the one time he picked a QB...he got it right. At the end of the day that is the most important.

Is he credited with Josh Allen. Where you getting that from?

Why wouldn't he be? Beane has no scouting background at all in his career.

His first hire like Lynch with Peters was to bring in someone to run that part of the organization. Schoen has 20 years of scouting and executive work. He was a QB...you can connect the dots. He flew to have an in person meeting with Josh Allen in wyoming with the owners and HC and Beane. You don't just bring someone along like that if they aren't a major decision maker.

there's no point man, his reasons are non football reasons but just wanting someone else.

you know it's a great hire, i know it's a great hire, and everyone in football knows it's a great hire.

and so will be hiring brian daboll on monday when the bills are eliminated.

the only thing to be upset about not hiring peters is that mcdaniel, who had very little shot, now has no shot of being a coach in ny.

it was never going to be him. He has a great mind but even people in San Fran says he more of a quiet guy.

I would have been more excited with Demeco Ryans.

Could you imagine the NY head coach doing the Mike Jones joke  . I thought it was funny but that young man running the giants locker room? I just imagine him down in Miami or something.

Ryans looks like a special candidate...real leader too.

Well thats all I been asking is point to something tangible. First time you did so. Allen was always projected a top 10 QB pick that year so I dont give that much Kudos as a "find" like the way Peters finds talents.

We will see what happens moving foward. This whole FO needs a revamp hopefully he does it. Get rid 90% of the old gaurd here.

Agreed and I think that was a big reason he got the edge over Peters as well. Beane credits Schoen as his right hand man in terms of building out all the different departments that didn't even exist when they first got to buffalo. I think he gets credit for building out the Bills analytic department. I think the bills rank in the top 5 of the NFL in terms of analytically driven organizations. And the giants ranked bottom 5...for obvious reasons because DG was a dinosaur.

If we get Brian Daboll too I feel like we're getting Mitchell Trubisky to compete with Daniel Jones.

for 1 year...I wouldn't mind that at all.

This is not the class to draft a QB. Build the foundation and the with the cap being horrible we will suck anyway. So we should be drafting high next year.

Next year is the time to strike for QB(Young/Stroud/Rattler).

agreed he is a dominate personality so there might be some tug of war. I'm Just not keen on a rookie head coach AND Rookie GM and a garbage roster to boot. that sounds like a disaster.

maybe I think he's ticketed to Vegas...he can basically pick his GM too because they have an opening there.

This is going to be a process..they need to pick a coach that will be patient and big into developing talent. I don't care if its specifically a rookie HC or a guy with past experience.

Giants will probably have one of the youngest rosters next year...with all the expected high profile cuts.

Maras are supposedly fine with eating salary this year from cuts so lets see how gangster they are this year.

the betting odds are Daboll so at least be prepared.

My Money is on Flores. The fact that Mara personally called him is telling. We will see.

This is a good video with giants media that gives a real insiders view. This reporter does say that Beane was the one who wanted/pushed Josh Allen from the jump and not Schone tho. I will let the sting of peters go and see what he does with the team. Me personally he has to hit a home run in this draft. That 5 & 7th have to be studs than pan out.

Schoen and Daboll have worked together with the Bills for the last four seasons.
In 2021, Daboll's offense excelled as Buffalo won its second straight AFC East title with an 11-6 record. The Bills finished third in the NFL with 28.4 points a game and fifth with 381.9 yards a game. Quarterback Josh Allen finished sixth in the league with a franchise-record 409 completions, seventh with 36 touchdown passes and eighth with 4,407 yards. Allen's favorite target, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, caught 103 passes for 1,225 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Bills routed New England last week in a wild card playoff game and will face the defending AFC champion Chiefs on Sunday in Kansas City in a divisional round game.
In 2020, Daboll was voted the AP's NFL Assistant Coach of the Year after the Bills finished 13-3 and unseated longtime powerhouse New England atop the division. Allen finished second in the NFL most valuable player voting after setting Buffalo single season franchise records with 4,544 yards, 37 touchdown passes, a 69.2 completion percentage and a 107.2 passer rating.
Daboll joined the Bills in 2018 after helping lead Alabama to its 17th national championship in 2017. He was the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach that season.
Daboll has 20 years of NFL coaching experience. He spent 11 seasons with the New England Patriots (2000-06, 2013-16) in a variety of roles and helped the franchise win five Super Bowls (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX and LI). Daboll has been an offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2009-10), Miami Dolphins (2011) and Chiefs (2012). He was also the Jets' quarterbacks coach in 2007-08.
Prior to entering the NFL, Daboll spent one year (1997) as a volunteer assistant at the College of William & Mary – where he first met Bills coach Sean McDermott - before serving two seasons (1998-99) as a graduate assistant for Nick Saban at Michigan State.
A 1997 graduate of the University of Rochester, Daboll was a two-year starter for the YellowJackets at safety.
He and his wife Beth have five children, Mark, Christian, Aiden, Haven and Avery.

Sounds good

Might actually see some real offensive plays like slant routes lol.
