If they somehow did this, they'd have to bring in another PG from somewhere. I really don't think it moves the needle all that much, but admittedly, what we've got is pretty stale.

It's a rumor. Who knows?

They could pick up someone like IT at vet min and find their PG next year. I still would be shocked if it happened.

Me too. There was good reason other teams were leery of trading with Danny.

A Smart, Schroder for Conley deal also gets them under the tax.

Do you prefer to keep this team as it is? I think it has shown glaring needs. The Utah trade is not perfect but you get a 38% and a 42% 3P shooters and an actual point guard.

No, it doesn't. Smart makes 14.3, Schroder makes 5.9. That's 20.2 million. Conley makes 21.

Doubt Utah does it but Conley/Bogdanovic for Smart/Horford/Schroeder fixes so many of our problems

Conley / Pritchard
Bogdanovic / Richardson / Nesmith
Brown / Langford
Tatum / Grant
RWIII / Enes

Huge upgrade in shooting (BB and MC both ~40% shooters), clears out the double big starting lineup and allows JT to play the 4, opens up time for Langford and Nesmith, and gives us a real PG for the Jays

Right, I was looking a next year for Smart. But the rumored deal leaves the Celtics with Pritchard as their only point guard. LOL, take that, Bob Cousy! That's what Stevens thinks of your views.

Danny: Hey Brad, can you do me a solid?
Brad: Yeah, sure, what's up?
Danny: I'm gonna throw your guys' names in rumors just so Utah fans think I'm doing something. That cool with you?
Brad: Go ahead, D. That'll also make it appear that I'M doing something. Win-win!

Actually I think that's closer to the truth than most of the rumors we've been reading.

I would sell high on Haliburton if someone buys into who he has been the last two months and thinks he is star. I would very reluctantly part with him in a deal for a legit talent. I think he is a nice player not a star.

Horford and Smart for Gobert and Ingles is what Ainge would like to do. But then, what will the Celtics do with the Timelord? Makes no sense for Boston. The player who makes sense for Boston is Conley, and Ainge is asking for a pick in that exchange.

If you trade for Gobert you Trade Timelord.

I bet you could get Haliburton for Timelord and a pick, at least mitchell for Timelord
Sacramento needs a defensive infusion as well as a long term bigman.

Mitchell
Brown
Ingles
Tatum
Gobert

Defense would be best in the league.

We probably need to sticky this but Timelord is trade restricted until July 1, 2022 unless spotrac is lying.

I personally like Haliburton better than Simmons but that's me. Haliburton has a chance to be something special if he continue to works at it in my opinion.

Not sure if this is credible at all, but Smart for Bogdanovic does make sense. Issue is he's 32 and we'd have to pay him after next year.

Yeah, 33 in April. Can't see why we'd be throwing in a couple of seconds.

Cuz Danny has to win every trade. Have you forgotten already?

Horford/Conley swap would probably work.

In fairness to Brad, he's shown he doesn't quite like ALL our guys. Already sent Jabari, Juancho, Kemba, Thompson, Dunn, etc. packing.

Smart/Schroeder/Al for Conley/Bojan? Why don’t you ask yourself why Utah makes that trade
