Overreaction. That division is still garbage. The Giants are a mess. Washington still doesn't have a QB. Jalen Hurts isn't that guy. You know this to be true.
Cowboys have some serious decisions to make that will hugely impact their salary cap going into next season. NFC east is not that good but I will go on record and say that they will not be as good next year as they were this year. If your senario stays true, it will be another one and done. Its not an overreaction. Cowboys are not that good.

Just throwing some numbers out there about Amari Cooper. If he’s still on the team he’s scheduled to count $22M against the cap. If released his dead cap number is $6M. It’s pretty clear they are not going to keep Cooper.

I need another week to calm down before I can think about the upcoming draft and how to proceed. At the moment I can't stomach any thought of Elliott, Cooper, Prescott or Gregory coming back next year. Thanks to Jerry and his contracts once again he makes it impossible for me to move on the way I would like to. I'd like to ship all of their asses to Houston for Watson to be honest. I'm sure after I calm down in the next week I might be able to come up with something. At the moment I don't want any of those players that I mentioned above on my team and coming back next year. I'm still fuming about Elliot and that mistake we made in the 2016 draft. I remember that you, Mr. b and I all wanted the Cowboys to do something else. I was screaming defense as usual. But taking Elliott over Henry is a hard pill to swallow when looking back.

**** Jerry. He is just going to try to find another suck boy to run the team the way he wants to do it. its been like that since him and Jimmy had their disagreement. Jerry's ego has always told him that anyone could coach his team once he got all the pieces. 26 years of waiting, counting and rebuilding. Jerry ain't the guy either and his record since 2002 is all the evidence and fact you need. Until Jerry resigns as GM and gives up the reigns to a real football mind I still don't think anything will change.

Let’s say Jerry is out of the equation. What would you like them to do at HC?

I stand by what I called for many years ago. Sean Payton is the guy I have always wanted. He has a relationship with Jerry going back to 2005. Jerry has spent a lot of money on his offense the past 4 years and I think Sean is the perfect guy for the offense. The question will be how much freedom Sean will have without Jerry sticking his damn nose into everything. And if that happens we can say bye bye to Kellen Moore as he lost his imagination for being unpredictable. Seems to me that Defensive coordinators caught up to his game this season and he wasn't able to adjust to their adjustments.

I think its more than just head coach. Jerry just might be starting to soften up in his old age. He finally is starting to realize his way isn't working anymore. For me to get excited about next year I want the Cowboys to do whatever it takes to get Sean Payton and let him be in charge of all football operations. Do whatever you can do to keep Dan Quinn and promote Will McClay to GM and tell Jerry to sit up in his suite and relax for the next 3 years. This has to be the starting point.

Wow Zeke is only 26 years old, I thought he was at least 28.
He shouldn't be declining right now, this should be his prime.

I think Jerry is sensing his own mortality. He knows he’s not going to be alive much longer and wants to win a SB before he dies.

That's what happens when you are a partying, junkie idiot that doesn't take care of his body and mind.

The biggest question is will Jerry finally turn over all control of football operations to Sean or will he say anything to get him here and treat him like he did to Bill Parcells. Parcells let the cat out of the bag many years when exposing Jerry. "If they are going to bring you in to cook, they have to let you buy some of the groceries".

That’s part of it but he’s also had a very heavy workload from college to the pros. It’s. It really a surprise that he’s slowing down at this point.

According to the reports that was part of the agreement they had in 2019. I for one though do not want Will McClay taken out of the equation. He’s been a master at drafting players. Sean Payton will need to find a way to work with McClay.

Re: State of Cowboys Union?
Looking at Zeke's numbers he is already the 3rd all time leading Cowboy rusher behind only Smith and Dorsett.
68 TDs
Why does it not feel like I've watched him score 68 TDs?
Years go by quick, feels like his entire career just zipped right by me.

The years go by quick. I remember how happy I was when they drafted Michael Irvin in ‘88. He was always my favorite player and it seemed like his career was gone quick, same for Dez.

Re: State of Cowboys Union?
Dez Bryant has the most receiving TDs in Cowboys history with 73 which is 1 more than Jason Witten who has 72.
Honestly feels like Dez's career was just blip compared to Witten's. Doesn't seem like he's caught more TDs than anyone else in franchise history.
