I wouldn't say he's horrible but his offense is. Those that aren't concerned with that end of the court:

What the hell was Suggs saying to Coby White after the 360 dunk? It looks like he was pretending to have a championship belt.

He was talking to a Bulls fan/fans behind the basket. He was doing it on FT's a couple minutes earlier as well.

I will stand by my comment until he learns how to shoot and gets a tighter handle. Let's not pretend that he gets to where he wants if Lonzo and Caruso are on the court tonight. Obviously, his defense is special and I've never said different. Now, if he tightens up the handle and develops a consistent shot (I'm MUCH less worried about the shot), then the sky is the limit for Suggs. I wanted him at 5 and I will stand by that pick. He has the tools and attitude. Hopefully, he develops the skills to go along with the amazing intangibles.

After tonight I'm buying my Suggs jersey, I love how he runs into the paint like a running back! He ain't scared to use that elbow either lol.

My favorite stat...8 free throw attempts by Suggs.

We've been really missing that kind of thing. Along with the toughness!

You might as well. Even if he doesn't fully develop into a star, he is a starting 'glue' guy that every team would love to have. Due to his size, he can flourish as a rich-man's Marcus Smart as a 2-guard. No need to limit the his potential right now though. He just needs to put in the work.

Did Bamba get hurt, ir were his minutes just a combination of foul trouble, sucking, and the game ending in a route?
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Fouls.

He picked up 3 fouls in the first four minutes and didn't come back in the rest of the first half.

Then picked up his 4th just 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter and never came back in because WCJ and Moe were playing so well.

Slowly this is starting to look like the Franz and Suggs shoe since Jalen’s come back. He’s getting more comfortable for the Magic and that’s a great thing. I’m starting to see some keepers with him, Franz and WCJ. I’m thrilled to see that rather than the Cole Anthony power hour every game. When we have several guys starting to blossom, that’s how we know we’re on the right track.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

We were on the right track half a decade ago and just made the wrong moves. Hopefully we don't trade Suggs and a draft pick for a one-year rental of a guy like Ibaka... :banghead:

People can say what they want about Suggs.

The guy is progressing nicely and makes some really exciting plays on both sides of the court. He’s absolutely who you want on the floor.

I hope they keep saying the same exact things. The all-you-can-eat crow buffet will be open for business and thriving.

7:1 assist to turnover ratio is a great start but not everyone is 'trashing' him while giving up on him. There is a balanced take that some, including myself, are more than justified in presenting. There are things he does that are GREAT, there are things that are TERRIBLE, and there is plenty of time, and hopefully opportunity, for him to address his issues.

people put too much expectations on rookies....let them be rooks, they will show flashes of greatness....they'll make mistakes....they'll turn the ball over....they'll hit a wall and they'll learn from all that...not many rookies come in year 1 and is 100% ready and has everything figured out...let them establish a ground floor and work their way up....some people complaining like these kids actually has a full body of work to critique....we're barely only at the halfway point of their very first season....anyway.....nice dub at home...we needed one of these for the fans....also it seems like chuma is starting to turn his play around

People talk more about rookies than other players because rookies are shiny new toys. People get obsessed with everything they do. For better or worst.
When Luka arived in nba, whole basketball world couldn't stop raving about him. Few years later, guy has 41 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assist game and nobody even writes anything about it.
Lamelo last year was media darling, Hornets are better this year, but nobody really talks about him.
There is clear Giannis fatigue since guy is having amazing season (again...and again and again) but as usual with all time greates, now it's taken for granted.

Embiid is now, over 4 games, averaging 40 points, 13 rebounds , 4 assists a game, with hardly any media attention. Remember how much there was buzz around him when he broke into a league?

Just look Okeke for example, last year he was,by fans on this forum alone, praised for every little thing he did, even when he played poorly. Last 5 games he is having turnaround in terms of shooting, but nobody even mentions him.
Last year it was "ColeWorld" , talking topics about his nickname opened, people fotoshopping him into Predator poster. This year guy is having better season than last, but now people are tearing apart his game. ( not saying he is playing good, but it's objectivlly better than last year, but critics of him going from objective issues with his game to irrational hate ).

Last year i was called hater when i said i think Okeke is probably bench version of Ariza. Now, same people who call me hater were saying guy is fringe nba player.
It's just narrative, people love them young. In minds of fans young = unlimited potential.

Suggs didn't care. He found Cole for the low five on the way to the huddle.

I mean, I knew that group would never do anything in the playoffs. I knew that was all we were getting. I’m excited for what’s to come here. I’m excited or what we MIGHT be building.

I'm with you. Got tired really quickly with the "no hearted team", this season I'm watching every lost game, after lost game but at least I can see the progress of some of our players, I see that the franchise has a direction.
