If it’s an ACL im so done, this team is cursed if that happens

What’s worse, Ricky is Ant’s mentor, and Ricky’s first ACL tear happened on a very similar play. Weird and awful symmetry if it happens. I have hope it is either an ankle or knee contusion.

Worth noting we were allowed to play very physical basketball tonight. We also got some nice whistles and probably got away with more than we usually get away with. Not saying this is a makeup game, but it definitely felt like home court ref advantage.

Nowell is the difference. Beasley has been up and down, Prince mostly up, Naz kinda all over the place, and MCD more aggressive. But all of that and more is possible because Nowell being capable of shot creation opens things up. Also worth noting Dlo got his Mojo back since returning from Covid. He is playing like the Dlo I was hoping for when we traded for him. I would gladly take a 20/10 Dlo rather than a 30/5 Dlo.

Sounds like a classic knee knock which hurt like a sob for a few minutes.

When I was 9th grade I had one so bad it caused all the muscles in my leg to cramp all at once. I am hoping he had cramping in addition to collision pain. It would explain needing to be helped off, and with massage and fluids leave him no worse for wear. Hopefully Ant doesn’t have a bone bruise, or if he does hopefully it is minor and he doesn’t miss much time.

I believe Russell is the biggest reason.

He's actually averaging 2 mpg fewer per game since his return, but points and assists are both up. And he's the fulcrum of the offense as the PG.

This is a fair point. The bench is shooting better (MCD, Prince, sometimes Naz and Beasley though they are both inconsistent,) which helps to explain it. I think that having an additional high efficiency double digit scorer is slightly more impactful, but I absolutely agree Dlo finding his shot and making better passes is a huge factor.

Ant is not on the injury report for game 47. This win just got so much sweeter.

Russell has been playing like a star for almost a month now. Maybe he is a star now. :D
