What would Russell Westbrook get?
Please leave the hate or the love out of this.
If Westbrook gets bought out is he a max contract guy? What does he fetch in an open market at this point?

Re: What would Russell Westbrook get?
3 years/$70 million
Still has the talent as he's high octane all the time, just don't have him take a crap load of jumpshots. Also would need to adjust to his strengths (have a backcourt mate who can run with him along with a good forward to run with as well) also have a lot of shooters.

Prob would get a 1yr/20m deal from a bunch of teams that think he can be their super 6th man
Some poorly run, bad teams would offer 3/80 or something dumb
He's not without value but he's really really far from being a productive piece on a contending team.

Bad teams would go higher cause they would value his trip dubs like gold.
If you replace Ja Morant with Westbrook with Memphis' roster, I believe the same result happens for Memphis.

I'm now very morbidly interested in seeing Westbrook replace Ja

Re: What would Russell Westbrook get?
3/60 with a team option for the final year.
He gets hate because of what he is doing this year but people forget he was fantastic on the Wizards just half a year ago, and also that Lebron just doesn’t ever make his teammates better

It'll be more than I'd think reasonable, but 3/50 or a one year deal for a big number seems about right. The better question I think is first who would be the teams considering him assuming he won't be MLE as the post above me said.

This is just downright ridiculous, Ja blows russ out of the water this season. The grizzlies would get so much worse.

It’ll be a team that wants to sell tickets and jerseys, but no real title aspirations. Thunder, Magic, Portland (if/when they rebuild), Pelicans, etc

Re: What would Russell Westbrook get?
2/30 with team option on year two, and more importantly he needs to accept an off the bench role if he goes into a winning situation. He can't have that Melo "nah I ain't coming off the bench" mindset because in crunch situations, the guy is currently a liability on both ends of the floor as someone that can be easily targeted on. I don't see a scenario where a team will rely on his triple double to either win games or develop young players like CP3 did in OKC.
RealGM loves you, Melissa.

2/40 or 2/50 at most. A smart team wouldn’t offer him much though

Re: What would Russell Westbrook get?
He’s the type of player & personality that I would steer as far away from as possible.
I’d only sign him if I was a bottom feeder trying to secure a low draft pick, fill some seats, and hit the minimum floor cap.
He’s otherwise a net negative to any team looking for a deep playoff run.

I don’t want him on my team for the minimum. He’s incapable of adjusting his game to fit his teammates.

Re: What would Russell Westbrook get?
2/50 with a team option the 2nd year. I seriously don't believe any team in league is dumb enough to still think RW is going to be a positive addition to their team. Even as a fan of a tanking team like mine I wouldn't want Russ anywhere near my team
I should edit this and say that is based purely off of reputation and the 2nd year obviously depends on how he performs in year one. Realistically, what he actually SHOULD be offered, is something like 3/36. He is not a starting level player anymore imo. It is actually really difficult to value him because we all know there is no way this guy is taking a role player role on a team, and he is nowhere near good enough to warrant being a focal point with the ball in his hands constantly
