There probably is no deal with Utah but it is an interesting coincidence that Bogdanovic, Ingles and Conley are not playing the day before Smart can be traded. Game is against the Suns too.

Use up most of their Expiring TPE's (Feb 10, 2022). Plus, they Create a New TPE for $12.9M of Fultz.
They'll have to Waive a player.

Since the team is struggling so badly with no quick fix I think the main goal is just getting under the cap. I wouldn't expect much in the way of returns assuming the Celtics even make any trades. I still don't think smart is going anywhere
