Anyone else feel like this trade deadline is happening to early? There is a lot of games left to play after Feb 10.

I think it's great and keeps it further away from the ASG. More time to establish chemistry with incoming players, and with the expanded play-in there's more teams that might want to save their season.

All good points, with more teams trying to make the play-in it discourages lopsided trades with a million picks going one way for a player. Where as there might have been 10 teams willing to dump players for picks, there's now maybe 4 or 5. I hope this will lead to greater stability in the league, and less teams like the clippers who are doomed for the next decade.

Which of these players most intrigues yall the most as a potential trade target?

Hah, we're all down on OG, so I'll pile on. If front office thought OG for Kuminga and Wiseman (saving Raps 2 mill in salary) was a good trade, I would support it. But can we develop Scottie AND Kuminga at the same time?

Why not? If OG is traded...it is a clear sign we are rebuilding.

This team at .500 at the midpoint of the season means we are firmly in no-man's land...and need a definite direction.

We have the assets to make a big move if Masai wants to win now. We have the assets to bring back significant draft capital or young players to really kickstart a rebuild.

I kinda prefer going back to the lottery and rebuilding.

If you're trying to win a championship, you need someone like OG. He's the perfect compliment to any star player. Lockdown defender and can bang open spot up threes.

OG in that 4/5 offensive option is AMAZING. He can expend more energy on defesne that way too.

If Scottie develops in to a primary ball handler for us and is able to drop 20+ points with ease, you want someone like OG next to him.

I do think the raps will need to consolidate some of their talent though. It's hard to say who gets moved. I personally want to keep all of our guys and try to add a #1 option to the team but that seems improbable.

If the raps are close to that 6 seed I can see Masai trying to add some guys to the bench to help make a push. I don't see any major moves being made this season. It's been incredibley hard to truly evaluate the team what with all the injuries and covid stuff for us and our opponents.

I predict for the next couple seasons that Masai and Bobby will just be shuffling the bench while Scottie develops.

I've been an OG OG supporter on this board, and I don't want to overreact to him being in a (probably overuse caused) slump.

But do we have a sense that OG and Pascal are not vibing together? OG's peak this year was before Siakam's return. All the Raps need with Fred, Pascal and Scottie are a legit C and a 3 and D guy. OG's salary for a 3 and D guy isn't onerous, but does he expect to be more involved in the offence? Is he trying to build up his value for his next contract? Is this a source of friction in the starting unit? We fans don't know, but the answers to such questions may plausibly lead to a trade.

But going younger with guys like Kuminga makes it stupid to keep Fred and Pascal. And I really don't see Masai trading them for the value they represent to this team. :dontknow:

Yeah but you know what you're not getting the returns that would be worth giving up OG.

I wouldn't trade any of the three but it would be FVV then Pascal, then OG, and Barnes..

Consider the contract consider the age and consider the potential. I personally don't think any of these players or GTJ are being moved this season..or next.

OG's playing like 40 minutes a night, hard, on both ends. 5 fewer minutes and he'll look a lot better. Most of the yelling is directed at Scottie for being asleep, Chris for doing something stupid, or Precious for doing many things stupid. I've never seen OG and Siakam at odds.

I would like to keep OG because he is a quality player but I'm not closing my eyes there either. Still, I see Siakam as the better trade asset
