Anything of note in Nehm’s trade primer piece in the Athletic?

Talks about how we already have a luxury tax bill of $46.2 million that has to be paid at the end of the season. Mentions we have first rounders in 22, 24, 26 and 28 but their 24 and 26 picks are tied up in conditional pick swaps in the Jrue trade and we've already traded 23, 25 and 27. You can't trade picks in consecutive years nor can you trade any beyond 2028. So we can't trade a first round pick without getting one in return that fills those requirements.

He talks about "fake trades". DDV, Hill, Semi and Hood for Covington. DDV, Hill and Hood for Nance, Jr. Nwora, Hood and 24 second rounder for P.J. Washington. He goes into depth with analysis that I won't post here.

Possible buyout targets Dragic, Thaddeus Young, Rolo, Muscala.

All speculative of course but a good read.

I'm not posting the actual text behind a pay wall.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'd do that PJ Washington deal in a heartbeat. That's a steal. Hard pass on the other ones though.

Trading both Donte and Hill seems like something they'd never do.

Yeah, only makes sense if you get someone like Dragic in the buyout market. Hard to root for but would take him.

Can’t imagine us doing a trade with Charlotte.

Is this the year we finally get Terrence Ross, or to a lesser extent, Gary Harris? Depending on Mathews’ diagnosis, trader John is always one call away.

I don't understand why Nehm is even suggesting it as worthwhile. Why would we want to do a trade that leaves us with 2 guards?

RoCo looked washed the couple times I've seen him last season and this season.

Agree. The really misunderstood thing with RoCo is that while he is a good team scheme defender, he isn't a good isolation defender at all. That the opposite of what we need. He's not better in any way than Yuta Watanabe, but RoCo carries way more trade value.

As for PJ Washington, if the Hornets move him, it's in a package to get a real center.

There's no way the Bucks deal both Donte and George Hill.

Honestly get a feeling that we sit tight this deadline and see who gets bought out. Just a weird combination of a lack of assets + low value for the guys we think are assets.

If Goran gets bought out, he probably heads to Dallas, but if he had any interest in joining us, I'd take him over Hill in a heartbeat.

I’m sure the Bucks knew the risks when we acquired such an easily hateable player in Grayson. And he walked in to the absolute worst parts of his reputation with one of the least likely fanbases to handle it with any sense of proportion.

All that said the Bucks could use some more edge anyways! Media narratives don’t necessarily impact what happens on the court either.

No one gives a **** except Bulls fans at this point. Morris hasn't played since he got shoved, and literally no one brings it when it comes to Jokic.

It'll blow over...anyone see the hit LBJ and THT put on Jalen Suggs the other night? Maybe worst fall I ever saw but he got up. Easy to break a wrist, just a bummer...Grayson has a bit of a rep already. Probably also why smashing a Morris twin doesn't really get you any trouble. :nonono:

It's not going to blow over. He tripped some dudes 5 years ago, nobody got hurt, it was just a turd move, and the stink of it follows him around more closely than Lance Stephenson stomping on the head of his pregnant girlfriend.

LOL @ that Washington trade. Hornets could do SO much better. Need Donte involved for them to even consider picking up the phone.

TOR isn't buying him out, they'll let him pout at home and expire. If they deal him and he gets bought out, he's going back to Miami.
