Smart didn't score a point but he played a nice game. Really, the story of tonight's game was the stifling defense on the perimeter led by Smart and Grant Williams.
Why does Alvin Gentry have a job? The Kings are a disorganized mess at both ends. They fired Luke Walton for this?

I feel sorry for Harrison Barnes and I think Davion Mitchell will be a player. But Haliburton was hopelessly bad. I've stopped being interested. Payton Pritchard is a better player.

Not according to VOPR, BPM, and OBPM, and w/48. All down.

It really comes down to if you prefer those to RAPTOR, RPM, etc.

Here’s where nba execs rank them.

VORP isn’t ranked, WS/48 is 11th, BPM is 6th.

RAPM is 5th, RAPTOR is 4th, LEBRON is 3rd. Smart also ranks highly in EPM (the spot after Lonzo) and DPM, which are the top 2.

Advanced stats absolutely paint Smart as a very positive impact player. Now I think they could move him, but it’s not because he’s declining.

Yeah idk man. Van Fleet is 2nd in LEBRON. It comes to preference.

Haliburton had one bad game in a dumpster fire of a game.

Don't be disinterested. He's a good player.

He has a funny-looking shot and he couldn't get to the rim against Grant Williams. Terrible.
The most valuable trade asset the Kings have is their first round picks.

Celtics smoke a bad team by 50 points, who on the roster is now untradeable?

I still think Horford for Hield is solid. Forces Ime to go away from double bigs and play Tatum at the 4, gets us under the tax, start Hield or Richardson at the two, give Grant more minutes as primary backup 4 and small ball center. Probably have an extra wing afterwards but maybe unload Schroeder for a 2nd and give Richardson more lead guard duties.

Lamelo has a funny looking shot. Funny is not broken. Broken is what Fultz had or MKG.

Problem is double bigs has proven to be very good defensively when we have adequate ball pressure.

Al’s issue is we need him to hit the 3 more. He is a much better 3-point shooter than 28%.

That said, I like all as a backup 5 to Williams, who gets hurt a lot. We can’t be in pamyoffs, Williams has a knee issue and can’t go, and we are stuck with Bruno/kanter/grant as the starting 5.

All the kings suck. Yes, interested in Barnes because I saw him play well at one point. Every other king is a backup caliber player.

As far as I'm concerned, Tatum and Rob should be the only untouchables.

Brown obviously comes after that.

But Rob is such a high impact player.

Rob is untradeable due to contract. Impossible to move him. Tatum and Brown aren’t going anywhere. Stupid to get rid of those 2.

Here is the deal. You got two studs and a really powerful and athletic 5. Build around that. We just need a high caliber No. 3 scorer, preferably who is a 3-point. Shooting guard and /or wing.

I think terry Rozier is perfect for the roster. No idea if we can get him, but it would be nice for scary terry to return.

Also, Rob is untouchable because Tatum loves having him as a teammate.

A trade that needs to happen probably in the offseason when Williams's contract kicks in. Williams and Smart for Fox. Sacramento, the worst defensive team in the league gets better. Boston gets a third star.

Who out there can be the 5th starter???
Need a shooter, who can defend a bit and create a bit.

Smart/Pritch ----good
Brown/Richardson ----good
??/Nesmith ----incomplete
Tatum/Grant----good
Timelord/??--incomplete

Assuming
Horford
Romeo
Schroder
Bruno

are the main trade pieces

I am ok with keeping BolBol and keeping Dozier as both will come cheap as depth (cannot see Dozier getting large contract offers coming off a acl? surgery)

Forwards who make at least 1 three pointer @ at least 35% a game and have at least 1.5 assists per game:
Hayward
Collins
Barnes
Mann
Washington
Keldon Johnson
D. RObinson
Justin Holiday
Osman
Coffey
