Whats out there?

Maybe Bogdanovic on Atlanta and #40 for Dragic and the Raptors first? Is moving down 20 spots too much for Bogdanovic? Hawks get out of tax trouble next year (theyr'e over even if they cut Gallo I think), maybe open up the MLE.

A big guard like Bogdanovic makes more sense defensively than a little guy and he's an upgrade as a scorer.

I'm a little concerned about Bogdanovic's health. I'd sooner do Dragic + 2nd(s) for Bogdanovic, though.

IIRC - Cutting Gallo at his $5 mill guarantee puts the Hawks under the Tax by about $9 million.

I don't think I saw this posted, thought it was interesting. Every team's top 3 trade targets at the deadline:

True but they'd be at 9 guys after their first rounder with like 12M in cap room which is a bit tight. This gives them 28M or so, and they can use the full MLE and bring back Wright and Dieng for say 5M each and have a real 9-12 which should still matter next year a lot with Covid.

Or could keep Gallinari instead of eating the 5M and use the full MLE if the right guy is around or bring back Wright and Dieng.

Probably not. Can’t see Indy going $7+m into the luxury tax this year while being 10+ games under .500.

I like Sabonis, but no chance that the Nets take Sabonis & Tobias Harris for Harden.

The Nets must get a ball handler if they deal Harden. It's their biggest need now, and it becomes far bigger if he leaves.

Brooklyn wants an asset of some kind for Paul Millsap, whether it’s another veteran who can help them win now or a future second-round pick, I’m told. The Nets hit on drafting Kessler Edwards in the second round of the draft, and he’s a name to watch for his two-way deal being converted into a standard NBA contract following the trade deadline and buyout market.

Keep an eye on Bruce Brown as a trade chip too. His role and minutes have fluctuated at times with Brooklyn this season. Jevon Carter is also another name to watch. He’s fallen out of Brooklyn’s rotation, and he’s available on the trade market.

The Nets have gotten calls on Joe Harris and Nicolas Claxton, but I don’t expect those guys to be moved, unless they’re packaged for a star or really high-caliber starter.

...

Scotto: Eric Gordon’s value hasn’t been this high in years after he’s had multiple injury-plagued seasons. The Cavaliers have kept tabs on Gordon, Caris LeVert, Terrence Ross, among shooting guards on the trade market, I’ve heard. The Cavaliers also like Joe Harris from afar, but it would take a star for Harris to be included in any package from Brooklyn’s perspective.

I don't make this deal for Pacers. Guy tells you he has mental health issues that have surfaced on the floor I believe him. Can't make this kind of investment with this risk.
But, if Pacers are satisfied the mental health issues are overblown, he's got an interesting skill set. His fit with all our shooters would be interesting. If you buy into that narrative you make this deal and figure something else out to mitigate the tax.

I don't know what the Nets want for Brown, but I hope the Jazz put in a call. Would be nice to get that kind of defensive versatility at (hopefully) an affordable price point.

I don't think they'll want much. He's not getting consistent time and he's in a contract year. Marks usually helps guys land in a spot that will get them paid. They'll likely see if he can be part of a bigger package first, and if not they'll look for a backup PG, shooter or tax savings and a second rounder or two.

I really don't see how a GM will be able to sell a BS trade to their fanbase. That "mental health" angle him and his agency pulled, and the overall "quitting on your team and fanbase" label he now has, is such a turn-off. Which teams are able to absorb the drama-storm of BS, while giving up significant value for him? It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Question #1: Will Ben Simmons be traded?
Question #2: If he is, will he be the best player traded?
Question #3: If he is traded and is not the best player dealt, who is?
Question #4: If he is not traded, who will be the best player traded pre-deadline?

While i get where you are coming from. We live in such a 24 hr news-spin cycle, all it will take is Simmons being back on the floor and playing (IMO) to totally turn the conversation. Assuming he plays well. And if he follows Danny Greens advice of using a move as an opportunity to reinvent himself, and he starts shooting... well, that won't happen, so never mind :)

Just saying, i think that stuff will go away quickly for everyone except Philly fans.

Yep, if his new team wins a couple of games all of their fans will be posting about how Ben and their team played Morey and the Sixers.

If there weren't contract issues would Denver trade Michael Porter Jr for Tobias Harris right now?
Would Philly?

Who Hangs up immediately or what's needed to balance the difference between these two?

There will not be a clear answer.
