If the Raps can add a youngish player who will complement the core and projects to be part of that core for the next few years then it makes sense to make a deal including some quality assets.
What the Raps really need is a young star, particularly a star scorer/creator and all their energy and assets should go into acquiring or developing one.
That's Siakam and 2 firsts for Jalen Brown talk I know it

and two firsts?
1 first for Brown being 2 years younger and 0.5 firsts for the 7M difference in salaries and then I rounded up.
I think Siakam is better right now but Jaylen is a better fit with Scottie long-term, and Masai dials back the radicalism/ideological extremism of the forward-fest (tough to argue for after last night) and we have 4 shooters around Scottie in VanVleet, Jaylen, OG and Trent playing all the 1-3 minutes in a playoff series, Banton or Champagnie should be fine as the backup 4 for 10-12 minutes a night and we'd still need a center, but we could add a more traditional one that's easier to get on the cheap.
