Yeah, I’ll agree with that Lakers team tho. That’s probably Top 5 or Top 3 worst.

This years Lakers. Easy.

How? Who really thought this team was going to seriously compete? Literally no one thought Russ was going to be a good fit and everyone correctly pinpointed the age of the roster being a major issue.

Sure, many pundits and fans didn't expect it to work.

But the Lakers made that move with the expectation that it would put them in contention. Hence, disappointment.

Saying theyre the most dissipating team already is pretty stupid.

Its still very possible that KD/Kyrie/Harden get healthy by the playoffs and win it all.

Still if they never win a Championship it will be. I still think while healthy the Nets are the most talented team in the NBA.

Serious question if they ever will be. KD is a walking injury. Kyrie too and hes borderline crazy. Harden is getting hurt now too.

Again, I guess it kind of goes back to what you consider a "super team", I definitely didn't consider them that with how ill-constructed the roster was... but that definition is obviously is very up to interpretation.

To me a "superteam" is measured by star power, not soundness of construction.

It's the intent that matters, not the result. They designed that team in the hopes it would be so talented that it would just sorta smooth over the issues the team had. That obviously didn't work out.

Maybe the last time the Nets tried to build a super team with Williams, Pierce and KG… but that team was so over the hill before they got together, this team has their top 3 guys all in their prime and it’s just a nothing but mediocre effort after mediocre effort

That title belongs to the 2011 Heat

I get the POV of calling them disappointing because they've rarely played together in the 1.5 seasons thus far, but they've managed to have a pretty successful the first half at 29-18 and only 1GB Miami for the #1 seed in the conference. This is despite the following guys missing a ton of games: Harden(5), Bembry(6), Brown(9), Durant(11), Griffin(11-couple DNPs), LMA(13), Johnson(15), Millsap(23), Claxton(26), Harris(33) and Kyrie(40).

Injuries derailed last seasons' post season push, and with all the turmoil and drama sustained this season, they are still the odds-on favorites to win it all. The only criticism I have is Nash's inability to put proven vets like LMA, Millsap, Johnson, and Blake in better positions to contribute with all the time that the big guns have missed. Blake had a pretty good season for them last season and has been getting DNPs (most recently in yesterdays game against the Lakers where the roster looked like G-League players next to Harden)

When it comes to discussing the most disappointing Super Teams ever assembled, I think any team that had injuries ruin their chances should be removed from the conversation (e.g 2013 Lakers)
