We're 4 games out of non-play-in territory (6th in the conference), but only 6 games out of 1st.

I still dont love the 2 big lineup and think that with a quicker guy in that PF spot the defense will remain high. Ideally thought that player actually has some offense and that improves the other end.

I would rather have the 2nd best defensive rating with my starting lineup and move up the offense from #11 into the top 10.

But the numbers are getting there. Finally.

I haven’t posted these in a couple of months, but Tatum is still way below last years possessions of 3+ dribbles, and possessions of 2-6+ seconds. The 3+ dribbles is down 3% from last year, and the possessions of 2-6+ seconds are down 8% (!).His seconds per touch is still the same, but I care more about him not having as many possessions where he unnecessarily holds the ball for 5/6 seconds.

He’s clearly made an effort with this, shows Ime is getting through to him, especially considering his effort defensively has been great.

When people talk about pace, there are two common misconceptions on what it (only) means -- getting in transition and number of possessions per game (what we see as pace in nba advanced stats). But playing with pace can also happen in the half court -- no unnecessary overdribbling, quick decisions with the ball, ball not sticking with one guy for several seconds, constant player movement, drives, limiting postups/isos where teammates are just standing around the perimeter, etc.

We just need more consistency from the team in this regard.

The transition stuff from the SAC game really made my day. We ended up with 12 fastbreak points but it seemed way more than that. I didn't even mind the turnovers from making those outlet passes. Just want to see the conscious effort in getting quick scores whenever possible. We're a relatively young team that should be running more (extending rotation to 9 or 10 guys would help). I think this month alone, we moved up from 29th to 23rd in offensive efficiency off opponents' live turnovers. The 1.18 PPP is still a far cry from last season's 1.43 when we were #1 in that category.

Cs have 2 of the top 5 high variance players in the NBA. Grant and RoRo among the "more consistent" lower variance role players in the league.

Upgrade Horford in the starting lineup and that, honestly, is championship level.

(obviously maturity will play a role, and bench, coach, health, etc)

Tatum has had such an odd and poor 3-point shooting we are missing the boat on him. His all-around game has been fantastic. Still learning to be a playmaker (willing, but don't turn over!) and his attacking the rim and getting to foul line is critical.

He's good. Top 10 player in the league IMO.

Ime might still have hangups with Embiid and Horford not working together in Philly haha. He's trying to make the double-big work in Boston. Huge differences -- we have the Jays instead of Tobias and their 5th guy, Smart is more willing to shoot and space floor than Simmons, Timelord is a much lower usage guy than Embiid and doesn't need plays to be set up for him.

Yeah, just wish Horford can start making shots.

If bol was healthy and able to reach 80% of his potential he would be an ideal replacement to Horford in the starting lineup.

We weren't missing the boat unless Comedian is on ignore and the VC votes don't count.

And thus there is no way Rob gets traded, perhaps unless he has to be to acquire somebody else Tatum really, really wants.

Rob has really blossomed into a brilliant player.

Still needs to add that 20 footer to the repertoire and he will be a top 5 center.
