Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Man, Oubre with 10 3s tonight and 39 points. Hornets scored 158.

The 3 assists is triple his career average. That's more impressive.

Oubre was a great get for Charlotte. Happy for him and them. And he's locked up on a solid contract.

Looking at the standings, nothing would make me happier than if the top 4 finished the way they sit right now. Memphis and GSW battling in the 2nd round and we'd get Utah.
Not to say Utah would be easy or a sure win, but I'd love to avoid one of the Warriors and Griz

Yeah, if we could avoid the Warriors/refs or the Grizz, that would make the playoffs easier for the Suns.

These odds seem weird to me. Not just the suns being so low, but the Nets are so high.

I get it but I didn't expect either to get in over Steph or Ja the way they've played. They were really carrying their teams on their backs to great records.
I guess I don't really care about this stuff nearly as much as most.
I rarely even watch it.
As long as they are all stars the record books don't distinguish starters from non starters.

It's not based on projections or play but simply how bets are coming in. More people in those big markets and more people betting on them.
They want equal bets across team and adjust odds accordingly.

Yeah I see a lot of people on the Suns FB group and even Reddit who are overly upset about Booker being snubbed as an all-star starter. Quite frankly, I thought Luka would always be voted as an all-star starter so I'm more surprised by him not being there but realized he's listed as guard and he doesn't deserve to be in over Curry or Morant. Booker I think makes a lot of sense because his brand of basketball isn't flashy so I don't see a lot of fans voting for him. Though I'd say Booker is more exciting to watch than Wiggins.
I think perhaps the NBA should adjust from being 2 backcourt players and 3 frontcourt, to 2 backcourt players 2 frontcourt players and then one combo of both that can be voted in. In this case, it would have been a three way tie between Wiggins, Doncic, and Booker. At this point I think it should come down to coaches since I'm not sure if their vote is casted, even still they should be the deciding factor.

If Wiggins went up in voting against the guards for an open 5th spot, he would have definitely not finished above Luka, Paul or Booker. I can't remember who is next but likely some others too.

The hypocrisy is interesting though. For years Booker got snubbed because they kept saying “reward winning” even when he was putting up good counting stats. Now he’s winning but we’re gonna reward “counting stats” over winning lol.
There’s no doubt in my mind if Booker was a Laker and they were in our shoes with the best record in the league, Booker would definitely have been an All Star starter. CP3 would get in as an alternate and hell maybe even Bridges.

Booker will be chosen for sure. The other two guys who got chosen are the next top teams in the league. It's not like they are on bad teams.

What do you think of Trae Young being selected as an all star starter while his team is 11th and two games under .500?

I think he got a lot of votes. And the guards for top teams haven't been as good, like Harden and Garland. I can see arguments for all of them. The Hawks are around 500 though so it's not like they are some bottom feeder team who is really bad, and were a high seed last year who went far.
I don't really care about who is voted in as a starter though. It's obviously a joke sometimes.
But the fans and media had Trae second and the players had him 3rd behind LaVine.

Let’s see. In the past other coaches haven’t seemed to like him for whatever reason so let’s see in a couple days I guess.
CP3 better get in as a lock as well. Best record in the league better have at least 2 if not 3 All Stars.
