I'm big on Yurt, but I also think he's a year or two away from being ready. Dedmon's solid but he's not gonna cut it as a starter

Bam at center puts a cap on this team and he'll be exposed again in the playoffs if no moves are made

It all depends on matchups.

in the East, It's not like Brooklyn have a 5 man that's a problem (Claxton? Griffin? LMA?). Milwaukee likely roll with Giannis/Portis, Bam has had as much success defending Giannis as anyone. Sixers have Embiid who is an obvious matchup problem for just about anyone. Chicago have Vucevic but they don't exactly play through him these days, plus he's more of a jump shooter. Cleveland have Jarrett Allen but he's not really a massive low post threat, they'd be more of a concern on the glass though given the size of their frontline.

West has Ayton, Gobert and Jokic - but I'll worry about that if we get there. We're 6th in the league in Rebounding Rate according to BBallRef, so it doesn't appear to be a major weakness despite our size limitations.

Teams will make a move at the deadline. Just depends on who goes aggressively. I could see the Warriors making a play for Sabonis or Turner to prime themselves for a Championship tilt.

I'm probably more concerned with running Caleb as a backup 4 than I am about adding more size to the starting lineup. Preserving Tucker also a must.

I’m not too concerned with the Nets but mostly the Bucks. Lopez is supposed to return sometime this season and who can forget how he sonned Bam in last years playoffs. Unless we just plan on rolling with starting Dedmon as an emergency option in the case that we find ourselves in major need of size, rebounding, and big man intangibles. Which of who isn’t an ideal option to win a playoff series. I’m hoping that Riley can work some magic and get a big for cheap like a Turner

Let's not act like Mitchell is a sure thing.

We’ll either way I’m not worried at all when it comes time to retool. Bam is one of the most loves players in the league when it comes to guys around the league.

Jimmy has played 30 games. Herro 39. Bam 23.

I agree that Bam hasn't played enough (nor do I think his year has been quite good enough to be an All-Star), but Jimmy should make it.

Herro's raw numbers look solid enough to make it - it'd be wild to see a 6th man make All-Star. Would be the first since Ginobili I assume?

If Butler did not miss bunnies at the rim, he might be higher on the list! Still, wild to see Kidd at the top, but having a talent like Luka who can make shots or plays for others helps in this regard I guess.

I don't care much for allstar games anymore, but I'd watch it if Herro made it. He should do skills and 3 point too.

I go back and forth on this but I think for the longer term success of this team it's the right move. The DHO connection with Bam and Duncan is cute but I really don't want our talented big beholden to DHO.

Jimmy's the obvious pick.

Lowry also deserves consideration.

If Detroit's down, I'd take Grant for Duncan all day.

I don't think they'd be down, though.

My personal preference when it comes to a Duncan swap is for Marcus Morris.

Morris is shooting 36.4% from 3 this year to Duncan's 36.6%.

Morris shot over 47% from 3 last year on over 5 attempts.

He also shot about 44% from 3 as a Knick on over 6 attempts per back in 19/20.

He's also a solid switchable defender.

I still think it would be monumental if we had no players in the All- Star game and Spo was the coach for the east. What a big F-up that would prove the All-Star system to be.

They would say it's because of injuries and lack of games played. Wouldn't prove anything.

Hypothetical - if Karl Anthony-Towns becomes available, are you putting Bam on the table?

Jimmy wouldnt be on board.

If Jimmy signed off, I'd do the deal in 2 seconds.

Bam would go there and get worse and Kat would come to Mia and get better.

Ethan sheds a bit of light on what's happening with Kyle Lowry (assuming Ethan can be trusted)

This would be blasphemy if Bam were to take the leap as a scorer instead of being content with being the 7th option behind Jimmy, Herro, Duncan, PJ, Gabe, and Strus.

I don't think Jimmy would do it now. But in the offseason, if we haven't won the chip? He might re-consider.

I love Bam, but I'd do it. I agree with your comment - I dunno if Bam gets worse in MIN, but I could see Towns getting better in MIA.

Not sure, but I respect their privacy and wish him and his family the best.

From a fan's perspective, at least he's getting some rest.
