Because as far as he knows:
1st pick
ROTY
Max contract
All Star

It really doesn't get much better than that. He probably thinks he's really **** good, and I don't blame him.

1) There is a difference between "he`s not very good" and "he is not a all-star starter". A ****ing big difference.

2) It does. All-NBA-1st-Team, MVP, Finals-MVP, Championshop - it REALLY CAN GET MUCH BETTER.

Wiggins is "really good". That doesn`t mean that he is an all star starter.

Hes a solid second option on a second best team in the nba right now. Maybe some of you should watch a few Warriors games. He aint that Minny Wiggins no more.

He's pretty much the same overpaid player he used to be, but now because he's playing the role of 2nd-3rd banana on a California team behind a Hall of Famer, he's now an All-Star. It's really kind of fascinating in its stupidity. What a joke.

At least GS is getting some PR return on that gigantic luxury tax bill.

Dat Big Tech and China moneh, winning elections everywhere. :tooth
1 guy is front court and 1 guy is back court.

Luka received 0 media votes, that is correct but didn't matter. Fans, players, and media voted Curry and Ja 1 and 2.

Which one do you want them to replace, Curry or Morant?

Tough choice, but I'll take out Curry. Warriors got their representative via Wiggins.

Suns are the best team in the league this year and should be represented.

Not really. If you watched him, hes much more consistent, better shoot % and 3pt %. His defense is also on a different level compare to when at Minny. The biggest knock on him ( according to Minny fans) was hes inconsistent and for every 30 pts game he will follow with 10 horrible games which is not true atm. Hes currently the 2nd option for the warriors, the next guy is Poole, scoring 16 pts a game while shooting 44% fg and 34% 3pts which are both lower than Wiggins.

I love how personally people are taking this. It's beautiful to see haters who constantly said Wiggins was garbage have to realize that they have no idea what they are talking about and just lapped up media narrative and group think. Let that be a lesson to you all.

This is a popularity contest where two teams have a kayfabe match for the masses, why is everyone so hung up about these awards?

Classic case of Curry voters voting in another Warrior because why not when they are voting for Curry.

You can bet your ass if he was on some other random team that had less popularity he would have had trouble even making the all-star team at all.

It's true that being on one of the best and most popular teams helps. But obviously its not just that. Wiggins has had an excellent season and drops some really cool highlights that fans have enjoyed watching.

He belongs in the all-star game. The haters need to accept that, because its simply true, as the numbers show, as the fan voting shows, as the player voting shows.

Is it inflated, certainly. But it's hardly as outrageous as people make it out to be.

He's a solid starter on a contender, there have been much, much worse #1 picks. Do a redraft and he would drop to 4th pick (behind a budding superstar Embiid, which we definitely do not see every year), so he's having a pretty good career and pretty much any team would like to have such a player (depending on cap of course).

Embarrassing for both sides.

DeRozan has had great year and mvp mentions …

Yea. I mean this isn't 'new'. BJ Armstrong got voted a starting guard on the fan-vote 30 years ago because he played for the Bulls.

15.8 PPG/4.5 APG going into the all-star break.

People always say “all-star game sucks”, “I’m not going to watch it” yet I see a ton a people complaining about something they apparently don’t care about.
