Will the Chiefs get the 2022 #1 pick?

Will the Chiefs get the 2022 #1 pick?

KC has the worst OLine in the league and the worst defense in the NFL. I don't see them winning another game this year.

Chiefs are also in cap hell for the next 10 years and won't be able to sign any decent defensive free agents for the next 10 years.

Are the Chiefs going to turn into the 2016 Panthers.

No but I’m hoping they end up like the Packers. Win a title early with a franchise QB then always remain in contention but never actually make it back to the super bowl for the remainder of the franchise QB’s career.

^I don't agree with that because no matter how over paid Rodgers was, Packers always spend money and gives Rodgers a decent OLine.

KC struggled in all 3 games, they should be 0-3, they just got lucky against the Browns.

KC now reminds me of the 2015 Panthers. In 2016 the Panthers lost most of the OLine due to injury, KC on the other hand lost their elite OLine because of Mahomes' new huge contract extension. That is why you see Mahomes now, running for his life on every play.

I knew this was going to happen months ago when Mahomes signed his contract and Eric Fisher left. It became obvious. just look at the message board:... chiefs : can anyone beat them ?... (you can check for yourself) , i blasted KC told everybody KC would be average to below average a year ago, because I just saw the names of the new starters of their 2021 OLine and all the names were just a bunch of scrubs.

Mahomes' career will mirror Cam Newton, because Mahomes relies too heavily on his athleticism , and as soon as he gets hit and hurt and that athleticism goes away, he will be painfully average with a $600 million contract eating the cap.

As long as the Jacksonville Jaguars are a team in the NFL they are the clear-cut favourite team to be getting number one draft picks year after year

Barring an injury to Patrick Mahomes, I’d be close to wanting to bet one of my testicles that they won’t miss postseason.

KC has the worst offensive line in the NFL. Mahomes is running for his life on every play (also has no RBs to take the pressure off). Mahomes is going to get hit and going to get hit hard and his athleticism is going to go away fast. I would be surprised if Mahomes survives this season, he will be knocked out half way or towards the end of the season.

Has anyone been watching all the games? Jets, Jaguars, Steelers, Falcons, Egals, Giants, Lions and Bears are pretty bad.

I called it..... Mahomes will not survive the season as bad as his OLine is. This is all because Hahomes is massively over paid. Mahomes needs to give back $300 million to KC so they can get him a decent OLine and defense.

KC is going to get worst and worst every years because Mahomes' contract won't allow KC to sign any talent. And if they do find an pro bowlers in the draft, they won't be able to pay them because KC is already in cap hell.

Wasn't Mahomes talking about going undefeated this season?

His big contract extension kicks in next season, with his salary going from $7.4 million to $35.8 million next season and then upwards from there.

They have several UFAs on the OL after this season.

What's killing them is Frank Clark making $25.8, $26.3 and $27.8 million this season and the following 2 seasons. But if those are the backend of his contract, they might be able to cut him without him counting as much against their cap the next two seasons.

Jones goes from $8.5 to $29.4 and then $27 million. If they could reduce their cap by cutting him, he might also be a casualty.

Mathieu is making over $19 million this season but he's a UFA.

They really need their 2020, 2021 and 2022 draft classes to hit.

I look at Mahomes career and compare it to the beginning of Dan Marino's career. Marino started off by setting records and making the Super Bowl his 2nd season, but his first 3-4 seasons were the best seasons of his career.
Mahomes has had an even better start to his career, but maintaining it is no guarantee.

They really haven't lost to any bad teams, though they did get throttled by the Titans and beat handily by the Bills.

They have a tough schedule though outside of the Giants this week and maybe Denver.

They still have the Packers, Cowboys, Steelers, Bengals, Chargers, and the Raiders twice.
