fan vote most definitely helped Wiggins but his piers voted him top 5 only behind LeBron, Nikola, Draymond and Rudy. It's not so crazy that he is a front court all-star in the west when Kawhi and PG are out with injuries. He is shooting at an all time high and playing great defense on the league's best defensive team.
I listened to several national podcasts, and no one mentioned Wiggins, except to mock GSW’s media huge push to get him in.
I’m shocked.
cool, did GSW's media push influence the players themselves? aslo, national guys don't always get it right and have agendas just like everyone else, like John Hollinger predicting the Warriors would go 39-43 and finish 9th in the West.
You’re such a homer!
The national podcasters, with no allegiance to any team, are all the ones with agendas, but you and GSW media don’t? What a hypocrite! I believe Hollinger even game snide credit to the GSW marketing director (I didn’t catch his name) for such an unashamed media campaign I probably listened to four podcasts on this, so maybe 9-10 different views from commentators who have no allegiance to any team, and Wiggins was’t 0-for-9 for being a starter - he was 0-for-9 for making the 12 man roster! But sure, these podcasters all got together to press that national “anti-Warriors” agenda that is flourishing out there, to deny Wiggins his rightful selection.
And yes, players and their agents who would like to go play in GSW may have incentive to prop up Anthony Wiggins (as Ernie Johnson called him before the game). Maybe for a legitimate All Star, a studio host would get his name right?
