fan vote most definitely helped Wiggins but his piers voted him top 5 only behind LeBron, Nikola, Draymond and Rudy. It's not so crazy that he is a front court all-star in the west when Kawhi and PG are out with injuries. He is shooting at an all time high and playing great defense on the league's best defensive team.

I listened to several national podcasts, and no one mentioned Wiggins, except to mock GSW’s media huge push for him.

Even your arguments are lame and homer. Being an “All Star” is not a team accomplishment, nor a reward for being associated with a good team. Selecting him over Rudy Gobert because of Wiggins defense is an insult to Utah fans.

Offensively, if a guy had a history of being an inefficient chucker, being at his “all time high” isn’t All Star worthy. Heck, is it possible he might get easier looks, just because he’s on the Warriors? And even then, his stats look very similar to Malik Beasley’s last year, and I guarantee you, Malik Beasley is no All Star.

I’m shocked.

cool, did GSW's media push influence the players themselves? aslo, national guys don't always get it right and have agendas just like everyone else, like John Hollinger predicting the Warriors would go 39-43 and finish 9th in the West.

You’re such a homer!

The national podcasters, with no allegiance to any team, are all the ones with agendas, but you and GSW media don’t? What a hypocrite! I believe Hollinger even game snide credit to the GSW marketing director (I didn’t catch his name) for such an unashamed media campaign I probably listened to four podcasts on this, so maybe 9-10 different views from commentators who have no allegiance to any team, and Wiggins was’t 0-for-9 for being a starter - he was 0-for-9 for making the 12 man roster! But sure, these podcasters all got together to press that national “anti-Warriors” agenda that is flourishing out there, to deny Wiggins his rightful selection.

And yes, players and their agents who would like to go play in GSW may have incentive to prop up Anthony Wiggins (as Ernie Johnson called him before the game). Maybe for a legitimate All Star, a studio host would get his name right?

Yeah I’m the homer when in my OP I mentioned the fan vote and other players injuries helping Wiggins make the all star team. But hey, if it helps you sleep better at night thinking Wiggins is a joke and not deserving of his selection, be my guest.

Ant is better in all categories except 3pt% ... IMO, neither player deserves it, but shows you what a joke the all-star voting is. Clearly a liberal voting system.

yeah, I am not a fan of the all-star game, never watch it and the voting is a popularity contest for the most part. as far as Ant goes he was listed as a guard for the voting and Wiggins had no impact on him getting selected. If anything Towns was closer to getting the nod and there could be an argument for him making it over Wiggins.
