Re: Friday 1/28 Game Thread
Hawks are beating the snot out of the Celtics. Hawks are finally healthy for the first time since Jan 2020. Going to be six wins in a row after tonight. Amazing the difference in having your three best defensive players actually playing together for the third game all season has.

Hawks getting it done. They really need to keep this winning streak going now that they are healthy.

Given the way the Hornets play the Lakers should hit 110 easy.
Probably give up 130 or more and lose, but they won't be held to 80.
Hornets actually have the 12th best defense in January
25th on the season.
More importantly the Hornets are 2nd in pace, with the Lakers 3rd. That's not a combo that leads to a low-scoring game even with a bad offense.

Speaking reverently this week of Gregg Popovich, DeRozan said the Spurs coach challenged him “beyond my imagination, on and off the court.”
“He just brought a lot of things out of me that I didn’t know was in there,” DeRozan said.
As for what DeRozan gained from San Antonio? He’s never been the type to be insincere or to blow smoke, so it means something when he says his time with the Spurs “did so much for me to be the player I am now.”
And if this becomes the season in which DeRozan finally proves to the rest of the NBA that he’s worth believing in?
The Spurs won’t lament what might have been. Instead, they’ll be even prouder of what was.
“Absolutely,” Popovich said. “I take some satisfaction in knowing that he cared, and he listened.”
And listens still.

Wondering for how long Lebron and AD will be out. Thats season right there. Might as well develop the young players. I hate watching our veterans play. They suck. We played much better with the 2nd unit. Vogel is an idiot.

Clippers have Miami exactly where they want them (Down 12 at the half). Miami needs to make sure this lead doesn’t get to 20+, that’s when the Clippers basically get the full moon and transform.

I predict Westbrook blows his top and doesn't finish this game.

What happens when LeGM builds a team of sensitive players. I’m sure he regrets this roster he built anyway.
