I find it hard to see Masai trading Pascal, because he fits Masai's vision of lineup full of 6'8 long defenders with some playmaking and shooting ability.

FVV on the other hand is at "peak" value.

If they trade FVV in season or offseason, I'll give you 20 bucks.

I'd honestly pick a higher number, but I don't entirely trust Masai not to do it. Paranoia.

Opportunity here to get closer to a top 10 pick, although Miami is coming off a tough loss yesterday.

I still have hope we finish with like the 11th worst record and luck our way into the top 4 like the Lakers did. But generally speaking I think 11-12 pick is what will happen. We sneak into the play in as 9th or 10th seed, lose there and pick rather late in the lottery.

Unless we go on a losing streak here these next 5-6 games before the deadline, then all bets are off and we might see some tanking the rest of the season to improve our odds at a 2nd young stud along with barnes.

4th gets us Jaden Ivey most likely.

11-12 puts us around TyTy, Kendall Brown, Tari Eason. Maybe AJ Griffin or Duren but they are probably gone at that point.

I think another top 4 lottery luck is really what this franchise needs but if we pick 11-12 and nail that pick, we could be looking real good, too.

Yeah if we manage to make the lottery, which Im not getting my hopes up these days, 11 -12 range isnt the worst spot to be and we may find a nice gem.

In this learning year with these wins, I hope they learn FVV should not be your 1st/2nd option. He's best suited to be a 3rd/4th option.

Barnes made the 2 clutch free throws. TWO wins even with Raptors wins.

I think it's that tanking got us Barnes last year.

I didn't see anyone against tanking towards the end of the year last year.

That won't stop from "TWO" claiming it as a legit tank job and taking a victory lap

Not a chance. At least not the game threads I remember. You think people would be praying for wins with Bembry, Stanley, Gillespie, Yuta and Flynn starting?

I also vividly remember members of tWo denying we were actually tanking.

I'm glad the OG crew was vindicated with Wiggins being named an all star starter.

It's incredible the impact TWO has had over the years.
Says the guy who criticized Masai for weeks for taking Barnes over Suggs.

1. Lets ignore the fact that not tanking for Wiggins was the start of the greatest run in franchise history which culminated in an NBA championship.

2. Lets ignore the fact that Wiggins had to get out of tanking environment to actually develop. Its been 8 yrs since he was drafted.

3. Lets ignore the fact the "OG TWO" said the 2014 lottery was going to have multiple franchise players. Top 10 picks - Andrew Wiggins-Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid-Aaron Gordan-Dante Exum-Marcus Smart-Julius Randle-Noah Vonleh-Nik Stauskas-Elfrid Payton. Outside of Embiid, I dont see any cornerstone players. What I do see is A LOT of scrubs.

4. Lets also ignore the fact that getting Barnes was a result of injuries + covid + tampa + winning the lottery when there were 70% odds against the Raptors winning the lottery.

5. Lets ignore the fact TWO was pushing hard for another tank before this season even began.

TWO needs to stop thinking in binary and be more flexible. The ability to think dynamically based on changing information and circumstances is what the best run teams in the NBA are able to do. Building a contender can be done in many different ways.
