Because CP3 has that covered and 1st All NBA defense. Also I’d have Morant and Curry ahead too

You don't watch basketball then. Trae is better than all of those. He is easily the first team All NBA point guard and should be in the MVP discussion. Hawks haven't lost a game when the team is actually healthy.

Check my backing of Trae Young ages ago in the 25 for under 25 huge advocate for him don’t say what you don’t have a clue about. Huge fan of him as a Nash/Lillard hybrid but CP3 has been incredible on both sides of the ball all year.

Put down the blind fan flag.

It’s so hard to talk to people about Trae cause he is so good and the Hawks so bad that people don’t even objectively look at the fact that he is doing everything great and some things better than anyone else....

Plus Trae is better than CP3 when the lights on and things get tight....

Who you want with the ball when you down 2 and the game in the balance....don’t lie.... CP3 might make the right play or turn it over like he has a tendency to do lately in the big games and Trae might just end the damn game with a 3 and shake hands with the ushers on the way out.

It's a strange thing but fans of the Hawks/Trae are used to it. My beef, if you can call it that, with the MVP love for Ja (which is deserved) is that Trae didn't get any mentions last year when the Hawks were playing at a high level towards the end of the season.

The Grizzlies team record is the only measure where he exceeds Trae. But how can one say, 'of course Ja is better, look at their record' when they won with and without Ja playing?

If anyone else was playing like Trae they would be in the mvp conversation- remember the rules changes were put in place to stop harden and Luka and Trae from initiating contact and “tricking the refs”....Trae struggled and is now better than before and his shooting is Curry like this year....this guy ain’t gonna block a shot from the top of the box like ja but Trae Is simply better at BASKETBALL right now

So add Hawks fans to the Raps and Warriors as one eyed blind bias drivel. CP3 was in the finals last time I checked as their teams best player not close.

You legit think CP3 and Booker would be better than Booker and Trae in the playoffs

Yes 112-38 win/loss since the bubble years ago. Backcourt does need defense after all.... perfect pairing.

You do realize that if that idiot ref hadn't hurt Trae by not moving then the Hawks would have been in the Finals last years, right? Trae Young's first playoff run was one for the ages. It took CP3 HOW MANY years and HOW MANY superstars around him to finally get to a Finals? ****, bro. Trae almost did that in his FIRST playoffs with ZERO superstars OR star players around him.

So no, don't come up here accusing Hawks fans of being blind when the facts speak for themselves. Ja Morant, Luka, CP3, none of them did what Trae Young did in his FIRST playoffs.

I get all that, but can I get you to call Trae the Mitten on the 76ers' board from now on? That's all I want for Christmas, bro.

I have a somewhat bold prediction - I think Hawks finish a Top 5 seed in the East.

1. Heat
2. Bucks
3. Cavaliers
4. Sixers
5. Hawks
6. Bulls
7. Hornets
8. Nets

I think people are still underestimating how close the East actually is. Hawks are surging & now healthy. Nets & Bulls are more banged up and falling.

I would have picked Ja and Luka over Trae 10 out of 10 times.
And CP is one of the GOATs at his position for a reason. Everywhere he went, the teams became significantly better.
New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston, Oklahoma, Phoenix. It's not accidental.
Last i checked, people can have freedom of speech and preference.
We won't change that because some people want their guy to be universally adored.

CP War Hawks wrote:Hawks are about to go on a strong run to finish off the 1st half. The center rotation is approaching full strength, which is the backbone of this defense. Hunter is providing good two way play, but they could use another perimeter defender or athletic guard.

OO impacts the center position better overall than Capela imo. Gallo, Bogi, and multiple expirings could be moved, not sure what they bring back.

I'm about to double down on this post a bit. I think the Hawks will catch the 7th seed and possibly the 6th seed by ASG. The Nets are hitting a tough stretch with schedule and injuries. The Hawks may get within a couple of games of them by mid Feb.

I had a thought Cleveland could slip. They may eventually but Mobley is such a difference maker for them. The Hawks have convinced Bogi coming off the bench really benefits the team. The 2nd unit can out produce the 1st unit in certain scenarios.

Big comeback win against the Lakers today. Trae Young is the point god that the NBA needs. Easily the best PG in the game right now. No one can question that. Team has now won 7 straight. It looks like Hawks fans knew what we were talking about when we had a ton of injuries and covid cases. Amazing, right?

Cam Reddish has almost superstar levels of impact it seems, but in reverse.
