Nets dropping all the way down to #6 is a reminder of how quickly you can drop out of the guaranteed playoff seeds. Nets are 4-6 in their last 10, Bulls are 3-7. #7 Hornets are 7-3.

Chicago has the 8th most difficult SOS left yet to play.

yeah, but IMO, they are showcasing the other guys ahead of the deadline. DG is signed long term.

I'd take a shot on Bryant for TBJ/Bradley/Thomas.

It's awesome how strangely coaches treat overtimes. In the Miami-Toronto game last night both coaches palyed the same guys the final 5-6 minutes of regulation, then OT #1, then OT #2, then OT #3. Which is standard, coaches never sub in those situations. And which is both weird and dumb, because there's a reason why guys don't play 20 minutes straight in games. They get tired and make mistakes.

In 15 OT minutes, Toronto scored 24 points and the Heat 20. At a 48 minute rate, that game score would be 80-67. Tyler Herro in particularly was fumbling and bricking. Meanwhile, a complete fresh Duncan Robinson sat on the bench.

That changes so fast though, shouldn’t be too much cause for alarm. It was 21st a few days ago.

when you're in the final 5-6 minutes of reg., the starters are coming off rest at the beginning of the 4th quarter. and you don't know that the game is going to OT. then in OT you don't know it's going to subsequent OTs. so you're in a situation where if you sub in inferior players you expect to lose the game

plus there are built-in breaks every 5 minutes in OT

depends a lot on the quality of the bench as well. it certainly doesn't make much sense to keep herro in there for an extended period of time when robinson is fresh

yeah, the middle 20+ teams are all pretty close in strength of schedule. there are only a few teams with notably difficult schedules going forward. same for notably soft schedules

as it relates to the bulls, the cavs are one of those few teams with a notably soft schedule the rest of the way, w/ the bucks in the difficult schedule group

Nuggies are obliterating the Bucks. Good day of losses for these teams today

As terrible as we've been these last few weeks, I find it funny that all these other teams under us have just been as terrible and can't catch up. Maybe it's because it's still January and teams aren't trying as hard yet, but I'd say no teams in the East have looked all that dominant. Everyone's got their issues.

I mean, we're holding tight in the top 2 with our +1.8 points differential lol.

In a way, I'm kinda glad that our issues are directly correlated to personnel availability because that's temporary (and it's more like 5-7 weeks now guys, but who's counting?). If we're stumbling around losing games we're supposed to win to bad teams when we have most of our guys, that'd be more depressing IMO.

So if Bulls lose, we are like piling crap on Bulls and Bulls players.

Like I was saying this kind of things happen a lot in the NBA. Teams like Pistons, Magic, Spurs beat any team on any given night - especially on their home floor.

Bucks also lost to Pistons a while ago, Magic just beat Mavs (Mavs been playing good lately) and Nuggets blew out Bucks on their floor by 36 points and Nuggets is not that good road team.

So us Bulls fans need to give Bulls some break when we lose considering we are really good key guys who were on pace to be all-defensive team plus our best (arguably) sixth man and a big man off the bench in DJJ.

We're on track to win 51 games. If that happens, it will be our best season since the famous 2010-2011 season. Not bad at all for the first year of AK's new team.

We're also trending to have our best offense since 1997, the 69 win team. Crazy our offense is close to prime Jordan & Pip years.

Suns came back to beat the Spurs by 5, who were missing Murray, Poeltl, and White.

They couldn’t have sat those guys on Friday?? Those 3 dropped 64 points on us then smh

No Cool.... We must win 82 games and they must all be in convincing fashion without allowing the opposition to go on a single run and it must be doable with either Lavine or Matt Thomas playing high minutes.

Otherwise waste of a season we are losers...

Best season since 2011-2012, not 2010-2011. That season had 66 games and we won 50.
