Hes already very advanced offensively imo, his limitations stem from his measurements and lack of foot speed on defense.

I still remember at the draft when he was still on the board. The 'experts' were talking about the best players left and Kendrick Perkins omitted Sengun. He was asked why - his response? "Because I can't pronounce that guy's name so I left him out". Everyone laughed and thought it was funny.
How many GM's and FO's did this?

I am the guy who rocked this, still feel good about my prediction, his stats are nothing special, but if you watch him play, you see this kid is one of the best rookies for sure

I thought the spurs might take him, but they wanted to swing for the fences on primo, so i get that. but everyone complaining about his draft position really needs to chill out. This draft was loaded, senguun would go no lower than 8 if he was in 20222. kendrick perkins i do think is an nba expert because he has a pretty good basketball iq, but i wouldnt call him a draft expert. people were calling this the deepest draft in an extremely long time. I think all of these guys before him except kispert duarte and bouknight have at least boarderline all star potential.

I still can't believe this guy isn't getting the reps they're giving Jalen Green and Porter Jr. Senguin will be a beast in a few years.

Kobe, Amar'e, Dwight Howard, Sengun?

Also did D-Mo work with Hakeem?

From the games I've seen he's a bit of a foul magnet, which is understandable for a 19 year old rookie.

Hakeem is 59 years old and still looks like he'd be a terror in 3 on 3.

(For all I know maybe he still plays full court!)

Daye had an amazing stroke. Makes me sad as a Pistons fan.

He really should have been better. 6'11 with good shooting range. Its funny Spurs traded DeColo for him, which from NBA perspective, its just a scrub trade with no impact, but years later both of these became Euroleague players, and DeColo was a superstar while Daye even in Europe was way below average, so from Euroleague perspective, such trade would be incredibly unrealistic and one sided

Hakeem is the master of post moves. He also looks like he is still better in the post than everyone in the nba besides embiid or Jokic. I think he can easily still put in 5-10 minutes in the league right now.

Amare also did for one off season and this man became a bucket in the low post that very next season. It was really impressive until he got hit with injuries again

At least the good thing is Sengun is doing this during his rookie year. Other players such as Dwight Howard waited far too long until it was too late. Kobe and LBJ benefited massively from learning from Hakeem on how to properly take advantage of mismatches whether it be in the high, mid or low post.

This is a good sign for Sengun and to think the Rockets gave up 2 heavily pro. 1sts they acquired in the John Wall+Christian Wood deals is impressive. Sengun has a lot of work to do defensively, but with him being 19, I think he'll get better as time goes on. He already has a good foundation and just needs to build onto that.
