Dammit, Jimmit. I'm a fan, not an undertaker. Adding Westbrook would kill the team and many fans.

Westbrook expires next year.

Before or after the team expires? How much more shyt can we stand? When Russ expires, the other contracts will be closer to expiring, and easier to trade, if they're even still here.

We really need to see if the FO can do something good before the trade deadline this year. There has been an incredible amount of speculation but we haven't seen anything concrete.

The fanbase can be sold on Westbrook for a year if it means younger guys play. Our fanbase is smart enough to understand the difference in contract years, and as long as it's sold as getting out of Fournier / Randle deal we'd be fine, it's not like the fanbase is going to riot.

Randle's extension hasn't even kicked in yet, he's gonna be on that deal till 2026. If you're going to move him it has to be now.

Russ is a veteran, even though our evaluation of him is that he's not an old player, he's old shyt.

The team can't really say, "Come here because we can get you off our books, we think you're just old excrement." So they have to say "what a great trade" it is, even if the PR guys who tweet that are barfing when the press "send."

Most of the fanbase will read the press release and start having severe bouts of nausea, vomiting, and other unpleasntness when they read the Knicks PR releases. They would have to keep Russ on the team and give him a few minutes off the bench, for appearances sake, just to avoid looking like they're calling an esteemed NBA veteran the piece of shyt he is. One of the NBA's laws is, "Thou shalt not humiliate a veteran player because, after all, he's been in our league a long time and it makes all of us look bad."

So fans will get the above-mentioned illness, which could be fatal to some. For example, it could be the end of certain elderly and feeble fans, such as Harthornius Wingodamus Sr.

trading for wb does have its advantages though, Knicks consolidate their excess unproductive vets into just 1 guy (which opens up pt for other rooks) and wb is only 1 year playing after this season. Just in time for rookie extensions and whatnot

Major mistake of this regime is filling the roster with players they think are useful so that thibs wont be shorthanded mixing and matching lineups but the fat guy isnt that kind of coach. now the team has glut once more

I can’t survive Randle but I think I can survive Westbrook because any point guard even though reckless is better than what we have. That plays option next year and Thibs being coach is the scary part.

:nonono: That’s not the scary part, that is the whole reason not to do it.

Read on Twitter

-Nobody knows how much power Perry wields any longer. Perry hasn’t been on the road with the team since November. The only executive traveling with the Knicks since December is Wesley, who has topped Perry in the power structure under Rose.

-According to an NBA source, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has admitted to associates he’s had more trouble getting Randle to play with a selflessness this season than during last season.

Give me youth, so we can rob Thibs of vets.

Trade Julius Randle for James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody.

Of course this front office once again has a power struggle and egos fighting within.

If this franchise ever gets cohesiveness ala the Warriors/Heat/Spurs I’ll cry real fu*king tears.

1)Randle, Fournier, Noel for Westbrook and 2027 FRP
2)Burks to contender for Protected FRP.
3) Kemba Buyout

Empty the books by 2023 and gain 2 FRPS for potential Mitchell trade down the road

Well, if it helps, WWW is the Kentucky nut snuggler, so one Kentucky guy for another might be something he orchestrates.

I think Perry has input. Getting sloppy seconds Cam is a Perry kind of move.

I’ll do you one better

1) Randle for Bagley, Thompson, and Sacramento’s 2022 pick
2) Fournier for Ricky Rubio’s expiring and a 2nd round draft pick
3) Burks to a contender for a FRP

2 FRP, 1 SRP, and cap space in 2022 to try and build around the youth core now.

Lmfaoo I posted this exact trade scenario at the start of the season. Now that Randle has looked the way he has, I expect those laughs to be louder and stronger
