I'd trade Dragic and Flynn for Dinwiddie and cash.

OG would likely guarantee GS another chip with an insane death line up

Pfffft. No. That’s utterly ridiculous.

For Wiseman, Moody, and Kuminga, then maybe?

Even that deal is ridiculous. :lol:

ya no way Masai does that with this core of FVV and Siakam.

Dinwiddie/FVV would be an interesting backcourt. Could allow us to slide in Trent as the 6th man which is what his role ideally should be. Dinwiddie has a higher than 3/1 assist to TO ratio which is very elite, and few PG's now have that. I'm very intrigued.

I'd have easily done OG for Dinwiddie+Gafford but it's not possible by the deadline. Unfortunate.

No way he does that from a value perspective unless he truly believes in Kuminga's potential. And I am not sure Kuminga is really a Masai type player given his lack of feel for the game and how little he contributes in other areas aside from scoring.

Its one thing to be off your game, its another to have the locker-room turn on you.

Have they turned on him? Feels more like it's a dumpster fire of a locker room. I didnt know Dinwiddie was the centre of it all. Feels like Dinwiddie and Beal have problems and Dinwiddie kind of alluded to it in the last post game press conference, but im not sure if it extends to everyone else

Not sure what the deal is;
Just found that Kevin O'Conner tweet strange.

I don't think the Wiz will give up on Gafford, but why can't he be traded? I thought the first day for those who signed last off season to be allowed to be traded had already passed.

Anyways, I wanted Dinwiddie last offseason and still want him now. He may not be starter material, but he can definitely boost out bench.

I had hoped they would make Mann available. Would be the 3 and D player we need.

Wow that's a really really really bad trade. OG for Dinwiddie n Gafford, no way man. Nonsense

Dragic + flyyn is the most I'd do, and Dinwiddie would have to be 6th man, not Trent

Not surprising. I think that the interest around the league is either for his expiring contract, or to pick him up on a minimum contract after he's waived. Considering he's exactly the type of player our bench needs (secondary playmaker who can spread the floor), there probably weren't any realistic trades where he'd actually make the other team better.

I think that is expected.
With the exception of Dallas, I think he is largely viewed as a big expiring a team can use to wash contracts off their books for next season rather than as a means to improve their bench.

Who are the candidates for expiring Dragic?

Spencer Dinwiddie
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Evan Fournier

I guess that indicates he's not getting traded to a contender. Dragic plus two seconds to Orlando for Ross and Bamba?

I was thinking the same thing ! Is he? Or has he just not fit in LA? Or are they using him wrong ? Covid? Injuries ? Could he get back to 2019 form?
It’d be worth the risk for Dragic .. and maybe a 2nd

If Freddy could get that “Lowry pick n pop” play, going with Serge… that would be huge for our offence …

I think its unlikely as a contender would need to find 19m in matching salary to make it happen and there isn't a ton of dead salary on teams that may need his services;

Dragic's 19m for Ross and Bamba puts is near or over the tax so ideally Bonga goes along with Dragic;
I really did like that trade a few weeks ago as Ross as a bench vet is fine and Bamba we can see what we get for a few dozens games before having to pay him this summer,

The issue is Bamba's salary;
All things at the moment we would be around 30m from the tax threshold if everything went forward as is with no changes;
Then we add our FRP (between 2 - 4m) and use our MLE around 10m with upwards of 18m before the threshold.

Ross now eats 12.5m of that leaving is with 5.5m, Bamba for better or worse will likely command more than that.

Seems like there is a lot of interest in Dragic because we are either taking on long term salary or attaching assets to him (like a 1st). Basically the interest is more in his contract/asset than the actual player.

Horford + 1st for Dragic + Boucher (Raps eat 14 mill next year if Horford is waived)

Rubio + 2nd for Dragic (Raps take on a player that’s out for the year)

Gallo + 2nd for Dragic (Raps eat 4 mill next year)

Dinwiddie + 1st for Dragic + Flynn (Raps eat the remaining 2 years of his deal)

Walker + Noel/Burks + 2nd for Dragic (Raps eat the remaining 2 years of Noel/Burks and the remaining year of Walker)

Payne + Saric + Smith for Dragic + Svi (Raps eat remaining 2 years of Payne and 1 year of Saric)

Powell + Brown + Green + 2nd for Dragic (Raps eat the next year of Powell)

Bledsoe + 2-2nds for Dragic (Raps eat 4 mill next year).

THT + Nunn + Jordan for Dragic + Svi (Raps eat 2 more years of THT and 1 year of Nunn)

JV for Dragic + 1st

Turner + Holiday for Dragic + Achiuwa + 1st

Young + Poeltl for Dragic + Svi + 1st

Nurkic + Covington + Snell for Dragic + Boucher + 1st + 2nd
