Draymond is #1 in D-EPM, and Rudy is #1 in D-RAPTOR and D-LEBRON.

Draymond, assuming he's back at least by end of All-Star break

I'm kinda glad Embiid or Jokic is not on my team because it apparently leads to an obsession where you can't stop arguing about them constantly.

I'm not saying the 76ers should move away from this with Embiid, but the idea that efficiency and other stuff doesn't matter as long as you score at a high enough volume rate is not something you have to be a "Jokic fan" to see the issue with. If you don't understand why other people aren't as convinced by this as you, that's you missing a big part of the picture, not everyone else being biased.

Jokic is a much better offensive player than Embiid from my perspective. I mean it’s hard to get better than a 7”1 Dirk + Bird. He’s close to 60% on post ups and been 47.5% from 10-20ft (Dirk/KD midrange) for years now and shooting 38+% from downtown.

.... and facilitating and playmaking haha they don’t belong in the same universe. Dude is going to be top three at the very least all time for offensive centers and there is no arguments here. No center can do what he’s been doing. Dudes been averaging a 27 point triple double over the last 10 games as a damn center! That’s completely absurd.

Well we don't have anyone on our team nearly that good. I think it's a bigger problem not having an Embiid or Jokic on the team than it is arguing about one of them.

On the discussion of who are the better scorers between Jokic and Embiid. If we look at inflation adjusted numbers (which is adjusted to a 110 league average)

19-21 Jokic in the PS

Inflation Adjusted 26.9 pts per 75 (rTS% of 4.2%)

19-21 Embiid

Inflation Adjusted- 28.8 pts per 75 (rTS% of 3.3%)

Of course both have improved since the 2019 playoffs, so these numbers probably aren't fully representative of what both can do right now. Still thought it was worth sharing their last 3 PS performances.

i would go even further that even volume + efficiency of measure like ts add are still not the whole story

2 points are not always just 2 points (lebron wisedom lmao), some players generate their own points for themselves, others are great at finishing oportunities created by other players, both thinghs are valuable in different ways

to say nothingh about how some players scoring methods generate more oportunities for teammates regardless of whether they get an assist or not

to say nothing of scoring being just one of 3 factors in offense (ball security/extra oportunities is one, playmaking and creation is another)

You want to talk about 'gravity', watch the Bucks players gravitate into Jokic yesterday, and allow Jokic to find the open man time after time. It's clear why he has the highest usage in the NBA; because he just knows what decision to make 99.9% of the time.

Jokic the clear cut MVP in my mind right now.

With the Nuggets being 6-7 games above .500, its Jokic clearly for me rn. The nuggets really aren't a good team and yet he has them playing winning ball.

Also he is just fun to watch.

This race may come down to late March-early April.

I think all you Jokic fans need your own thread. Just one thread. Same with Embiid fans. Everyone acts like they're saying something profound when we've all heard it before. At this point let's just see what happens. There are 2 Jokic threads on the GB, and there is also the MVP thread being flooded by you guys.

You weren't complaining when the same thing was happening with Embiid the last couple of weeks.

I'm sick of both players having multiple threads.

Yeah, when it's an Embiid circle-jerk you have no issues. By the way, as you can tell I'm a massive Giannis fan. I just recognise that there is one guy that is head and shoulders above everyone else right now, and unfortunately it's not my guy.
