Kinda doubt it. Medical records and the best podiatrists, orthopedists, and sports medicine docs will tell a lot more about Turner’s injury than Pattons history. That said, we need help now, I doubt we pursue Turner unless we are sure he is back pretty soon.

I expect a lot of move on the 10th and I would not be at all surprised to see us move at the very last minute. We will probably pick up the best talent left as we have the least of all the major buyers in terms of assets to spend.

On Zach Lowe’s podcast, Bobby Marks suggested Gary Harris ($20.5 expiring) or Terrence Ross ($12.5, $11.5), but was lukewarm, and said neither deserved giving Orlando a 1st round pick.

Meh. Unless we're essentially turning Beasley into Ross, either way I wouldn't trade a 1st this season for what's out there.

Not sure swapping wings is the way to go.

Eric Paschall is someone who has showed flashes in the past, is within the age range of the core of the team (25), fits the position of need (PF), is on a team that may need to make a trade (Utah is slumping), and fits the RFA mold this franchise has targeted in the recent past.

Now I'm aware that it's more of a homeless version than even a poor man's version, but if you squint really really hard you can see some Joe Ingles in Jake Layman.

Jake Layman and 2nd for Eric Paschall and Miye Oni?

With Ingles ACL tear I doubt they move him.

It's a weird thing for me as a fan of this team to be approaching the deadline and thinking, "you know, I don't think we need to make any trades at all, unless it's some fantastic deal." We seem to be getting better over time, as young teams are supposed to.

(Of course, that belies our need to make space to pay important pieces like Naz and V8 and JN, if nothing else.)

If we could swap Beasley for Ross, I would do that in a heartbeat. He is better moving and cutting to the hoop, seems fine as a 6th man microwave, plus saves money.

Orlando isn't doing that without a small incentive, unfortunately.

I would buy low on Bagley. I think he would fit into out culture well. He is extremely young still [Same age as Nowell].

Here are my thoughts:

RE Harris: I think he will be bought out. I think [and hope--Hey, I enjoy LeBron] he signs with the Lakers. Thats my guess. I dont think Utah moves further into the tax in a Ingles/Salary for Harris deal. I would love if he signed here, but don't see it.

RE Ross: Magic fans are delusional and living in 2020 with their requirements for Ross.

Hou, Min, and Philly 3 way...might need more players to make salaries work

Hou Out: John Wall & Eric Gordon
Hou In: Maxey, Beasley, McDaniels, Prince, and 1st(Min)

Philly Out: Simmons & Maxey & Danny Green
Philly In: John Wall & Eric Gordon 2 1sts(Min)

Min Out: Beasley, McDaniels, Prince and 3 1sts
Philly In: Simmons and Danny Green

Timbers lineup:
Beverly
Dlo
Edwards
Simmons
Towns

I couldn’t agree more.

If his shot ever improves it’s just a bonus.

This is bad and soon good for Houston.

They turn Wall and Gordon into a 20 year old averaging 16/5/3.5? There is no way in HELL that Rockets package gets Maxey....let alone McDaniels AND A 1ST.

Take out Maxey and 1 of the 1sts from Minnesota.

Houston trades Wall/Gordon for Prince/Beasley/McDaniels

Philly trades Simmons/Green for Wall/Gordon/2 1sts

Wolves trade Prince/Beasley/McDaniels/2 1sts for Simmons/Green

HOU fans would like to make you their new GM. Take out Maxey, McDaniels and the MIN FRP and you’re closer to the value Wall and Bledsoe would return.

Still way too high for us and that doesn’t even address the fact that Philly wants Harden and will keep Simmons until the summer in the hopes of a sign and trade to try and get him.

MCD and two firsts for Simmons is a gross overpay. Simmons is a bad contract, poor fit, and serious risk given his mental health issues and lack of loyalty. He blew it last year in the playoffs and overreacted to fans and players being angry about it. His vow to further screw the Philly fan base isn’t exactly something that should endear him to us.

that is interesting, I wonder how he ranked in previous seasons

but its tough to match Bagley's salary without Prince, Beasley or Beverly, and hard to say he would help the team win more than any of those guys, maybe Beasley. Prince has been on a long enough stretch to expect he's back to his decent career level and will continue

Yeah, it is also worth to mention that with Vando progress Bagley should "just" fit as backup PF, not as starter. It means that we probably won't have other high requirements only stay healthy, stay active and involves in both team defense and offense.

The thing I worry about with Bagley...Does he resign as a rfa, if he knows he's continuing to come off bench here?
