Combination of people being ultra competitive + sports fans having little patience. Everyone wants to see their rookie outperform the other. 1st year in the NBA is a time to get acclimated, and it's not uncommon for rookies to struggle heavily with efficiency, consistency and decision making.

5 guys? Detroit fans need to settle down, or direct their posts to those 5 guys.

Or find a poll with 50+ votes where the majority felt Cade was or was going to bust.

Hey.. I was saying Cade was gonna be the best from this draft class even when he returned from the long layoff and was playing like crap. I caught a lot of heat for that comment but I know those same people are eating crow now.

Some guy from the second round could turn out to be the best player from this draft class, so yeah, a remark like that is going to draw more haters and skeptics than supporters. It's just the nature of message boards that messages draw more dissenting opinions than supporting ones ... heck, sometimes I'll make a reply to expand on a topic and someone will get confused trying to figure out how I was disagreeing with him.

IIRC somebody was questioning his character for being a teen father as well. Unbelievable what some people will say on here sometimes.

pistons were up by 11 in the third quarter and sitting pretty against the pels when cade went out with a hip pointer. they then get outscored 46-25 in the last 17 minutes of the game without him.

ho man i hope he's not out long.

Dosunmu was the the guy I wanted when the Pistons traded down in the 2nd. Not at all surprised. So he was 21 instead of 19, big f’n deal. So many teams passed on this guy. Derp.

Both Kuminga and Moody were excellent for the Warriors tonight. Imo Kuminga is a pretty massive snub from the rising stars tournament.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Who would you replace with Kuminga though? Maybe Mitchell or Suggs?

Kuminga’s starting to get noticed but he got started too late. Tonight was only the 7th game where he’s played over 20 minutes and most of those have come recently. So yeah, he missed out on that and he won’t be ROY. But let’s not forget Steph Curry wasn’t ROY either.

Giannis finished seventh in ROY! it's not always how you start. It's how you develop.

As long as you see a guy that is playing the right way, that shows the right skillset, that shows that they are coachable, etc., then you have a good chance of having a guy that is going to be a long-term net-positive player in the league.

For those interested, MCW won ROY in Giannis' rookie year. Top 5 were: -

1. MCW
2. Oladipo
3. Trey Burke
4. Mason Plumlee
5. Tim Hardaway
